While I'm not disappointed with MS. I haven't really played my 360 much recently. I prefer the Ps3 controller so I buy most multi-platform games for it and the last time I bought one for the 360 was Bayonetta which I purchased last year but haven't gotten around to yet. It's a decent system. I've still played my Wii more than my 360, but I'm actually more disappointed with the Wii because a simple lack of potential for it. It could of had such great games but it never happened. I really thought point and click adventure games would make a comeback. Especially with how Another Code: R did it so awesomely. But that was pretty much the last game made like that and nothing else. What could have been.

There is very little out for Kinect that makes it worth the price of admission (IMHO). Child of Eden stands as the lone game that has made me glad to own a Kinect. This is a very popular opinion. Several of my coworkers are MS loyal and two of them bought Kinect. One has already traded it in at GameStop. They both have shared with me the above opinion. For the record, I don't ever plan on buying Playstation Move.

If it weren't for the GIANT success of the Wii and motion control gaming the new Xbox would have come out this fall. Now we have to wait around for Microsoft and Sony to try and establish Kinect and Move which IMHO is a fucking gimmick! Let’s go back to playing games with a damn controller sitting down and just relaxing. If you want to exercise go outside or join a damn gym. Sorry for coming off rude but I feel strongly about this. I play games to relax not to jump up and down and move my arms around like a damn monkey.

^^^ How are you losing faith with MS? They are winding down this gen pretty nicely if you ask me and are really pushing kinect. I think they are priming for the release of the next console next fall. Sorry I am just getting back here. Best, even going back to the IGN days, let alone posts I've made at BC I am thoroughly disappointed with their lack of 1st party support and the kinect should not be just ramping up now considering how long it has been out. We had dance central and kinect sports to start and then...that was it. Done, end of story until Child of Eden and this has been there whole focus other than their limited core games. We have Forza 4, and GoW 3 and another Fable game which people are becoming more and more disenchanted with. Yes, they are selling like crazy but that doesn't mean that I as a gamer are happy with there direction.

Another Code: R - that didn't even come out in the US, did it? Nope. Damn shame too because I'm playing it again and it really is a fantastic game. Very relaxing, good story, and while there aren't a ton of puzzles, some of them are quite fun and always try to make good uses of the Wii-mote.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate a little here, not for nothing but Nintendo's lineup for the rest of the year isn't terrible. We are getting two Kirby games, Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2, a Fortune Street game (still can't believe they are localizing this), another Mario Party, Rhythm Heaven, and Zelda. Not mention all the 3DS games like Mario Kart, Starfox and Kid Icarus. That's not that bad overall.
Trust me I want Xenoblade, Last Story or Pandora's Tower, but no one is saying that they won't release those early next year.
I'm not going to pretend that I have a clue what NOA is doing, but perhaps they are spacing out releases to try to keep the Wii alive until the Wii U launch, which we still have no idea when that system is going to launch.

I play games to relax not to jump up and down and move my arms around like a damn monkey. I don't think that the Wii has screwed up this generation and slowed it down. I think the basic motion control on the Wii wasn't all that great despite being a nice experiment and the fact that they had classic controller playability on many games was one of the awesome aspects that Nintendo included. The Wii U is basically the upgraded Wii due to it's backwards compatibility which wreaks of awesomeness. The real attention grabber in motion control came when the Wii Motion Plus came out. For the fist time games had a control interface that was one-to-one. Games like Tiger Woods Golf and Red Steel 2 were two of the best in using this technology. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will also feature one-to-one with the Motion Plus and I can tell you from experience that having that kind of control is absolutely fantastic and satisfying. If MS and Sony really want a piece of the motion control game market they'll need to actually have games developed that do more than graphically show off the control scheme. This past e3 was just another disappointment for Kinect and Move because, with the exception of Child of Eden, there aren't any actual games being released.

I'll bite on this 1) Don't care for Kirby all that much. 2) Don't care for the DQ spin-off games. I only like the main series. 3) I've heard the name. Know nothing about the game. Isn't it some sort of party game? 4) Mario Party stopped being fun years ago. 5) I have no Rhythm. I suck at those games. Pass. 6) Zelda. Yeah, that's a gigantic maybe. I finished Twilight Princess. But I just re-bought OoT and found myself incredibly bored to the point where I am now questioning if I should pick up Skyward Sword at all. So for me personally? Yeah, the rest of the lineup is pretty terrible. There's nothing that screams must buy at all.

I never even finished Twilight Princess. Or Mario Galaxy. That's why I was looking for some interesting third party games.

When talking about third party games are you talking about third party Wii games that are already out or things to come in the future? I only ask because there are some great third party titles already on the Wii, but as far as the future, well I wouldn't hold my breath. Third parties have jumped ship on the Wii for the most part. Edit: Just fixed your quote bracket is all Haines.

You've given fair reason for each game, and I've got no beef with that. Also just for note, unless something changes Nintendo won't be getting a dime from me for any of those holiday releases. I've reached my boiling point with their disregard to their fans.

When talking about third party games are you talking about third party Wii games that are already out or things to come in the future? I own quite a few good third party games already. RE4, No More Heroes, Murumasa, Zack & Wiki, Red Steel 2, Arc Rise Fantasia, and Tales of Symphonia 2 to name a few. I prefer quality over quantity, but my 360 library proves that you can have both.

I knew fully well you weren't trying to troll. I was just saying I'd take a shot at why even with the games you posted, the lineup doesn't excite me at all and makes me say there's no games worth playing. Frankly some of them will probably turn out to be decent to really good games. But personally I'd be fine with trading all those releases for even just a Xenoblade release because it's something I KNOW I'd actually play and probably sink a lot of time into.

I used to love Zelda but since the N64, my taste in games expanded and shifted to rpgs. Wind Waker I loved, even though it took me a while to finish. Phantom Hourglass was awesome because it was a continuation of Wind Waker. But Twilight Princess tried too hard to be OoT and I still haven't finished it and I don't know if I care enough to do so. Spirit Tracks I just haven't finished. So it's weird for me because Zelda has always been my favorite Nintendo franchise, but I have to say that I'm not that excited about Skyward Sword. On the other hand, if I could get my hands on a deep rpg like Xenoblade or the Last Story, I know that not only would I play it, I'd probably beat it, too.

I bought Ocarina of Time for the 3DS and that pretty much convinced me I probably shouldn't pick up Skyward Sword. I found everything so boring, I just never wanted to play it and after and hour or 2 I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm to play it anymore.
I tried to trade it in. But Gamestop was only willing to give me 10$. No thanks, fuck you Gamestop.
