I'm in the same boat Buck. I used to despise this guy for the way he left Pittsburgh. But after the Olympics, I changed my mind. That guy put that whole Czech team on his back. He seems like he has matured quite a bit since the "Dying alive" days in Pittsburgh.
I am all for this move. As a matter of fact, I saw a tweet from Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review saying that Shero will have Jagr signed by Friday. POW!

Some hockey players don't age like normal folks.
See Lidstrom.

Honestly i will shit a brick if Jagr comes back!
I know hes up there a bit, but hockey is one of those games where you can be an ageless wonder out there.
I agree Bing, i despise how Jags left but i can look past it just to even rekindle the glory days a bit, just having Jagr put up half of what he did, we need it...i think Jagr coming back would be huge and enjoyable.

Yea Chelios rolled hard, thats the beauty of hockey is age really doesnt make a huge huge factor at times.
I think having a good aged leader on the team is wise. Jagr plays hard, and i love the Pens but we need another good goal scorer, this would be pretty sweet.
Man now im freakin excited!

No problem Buck. Also, I think Jagr is capable of more than 20-25 goals if he is on a line with Sid or Geno. If Chris Kunitz can score 28 goals on Sid's line, an old Jagr can net 30+.

I'm hearing that he wants 2 million for one year. That is a MF steal. If that is true and they don't sign him, they are tarded. That's Jagr for Pascal Dupuis money.

Dying alive is still a dagger to my heart.
He'd be a hell of alot better than the bums they've brought in the past few years though.

I thought I just heard that they are only going to offer him $1 million. Come on, even at his age he is probably good for 20-25 goals and that is definitely worth more than 1 mil.

We should know around 3:30 EST today. Jagr is set to arrive in the U.S. then. His agent said his decision will be announced within an hour of his arrival.
I'm nervous.

Man, Bing, it would be a great way to go out; get some cash (although he probably doesn't need any), get back to the States (probably not that important) and win another Cup (there you go!).

He probably doesn't need the money. But he was pretty stupid with gambling back in the early part of his career. But he made an ass-load of money playing in Russia for 3 years. So I would imagine he is pretty set. Can't wait for 3:30.
If the Pens sign him and he plays well but doesn't win a cup, do they resign him for more money? I know that is a huge leap to make, but it is where my head is at right now.

Damn I am happy to see that Jags could possibly be coming back but as a Rangers fan I wish it was with us. He was a great player for us. He did play his ass off and man can he put the puck in the net. He also helped out the younger players and very good that way.
He was the one a few years back in Russia when that Rangers prospect Cherapanov messed up a scoring opportunity and he came back to the bench and Jags was helping him out so he know what he did wrong and then the player collapsed and wound up dying. I remember seeing quotes from Jagr and you can tell it really had an impact on him.

I'll tell ya, with reports of Crosby getting better, malkin, Jagr and some defensive moves...they are truly contenders to challenge the Western New York owned Stanley Cup Champs. The Bruins. Yes Bruin fans, when you look for your Owner you are looking to the banks of the Niagara River.
