When I saw that the Pens withdrew their offer, I thought, "Good. I'm glad they aren't playing his game." Then when Detroit withdrew their offer, I thought it was funny. I figured he was on his way back to the KHL. Then I heard about Philly signing him. Then I died(alive) a little inside (Jagr joke).

Whats amazing is i had read that he said he would play in the league for minimum just to honor Lemiuex, what a pile of shit Jagr really is...well thats it, that is the final nail in his coffin for him here in Pitsburgh.

The thing that bugs me and why i feel hes a bit of a jerk is because i read his statement saying he wanted to come back to the league at a minimum pay and honor lemiuex, and i just view it as a total slap in the face to Mario by going to Philly out of all teams, philly.

And to make matters worse for Bing, Philly also signed Max Talbot  I have a Max Talbot jersey too. He was one of my favorite players. But I can't really blame him. Pens didn't make him much of an offer. This was his big pay day and in all likelihood his last big contract. At least now there is one Flyer I don't hate. |

Forgot there was a Sports Forum here I'm glad that the Wings didn't sign him. I wasn't happy when they signed Hossa before. I can't imagine that Jagr, at his age, is going to make that big of an impact. A one year contract is pretty safe though so I guess Holmgren didn't do too badly. I would have tried to keep Leino  |

I actually think Jags is going to be a big part of that team. He definitely could still play in the olympics a year and a half ago. He had some of the best hands in the history of the game.

Still bums me out, i cant believe Pens couldnt of at least went 2.8 or 2.9 for him...i think with Crosby and Malkin imho quite injury prone anymore, Jags could of helped out.

To be honest Seth, I think he would've helped out quite a bit. But it looks like he was just using Pittsburgh to get his foot in the door. His plan all along was to start a bidding war. He was/still is a grade A jagoff.

Hilarious vid hah. I just dont know what it is sometimes though about guys we pull in, that video he looks pretty good...but he will come to the Pens and you just wont see 2 short handers from him. But im being negative nancy i hope he turns out though. |

And I think it was kind of obvious that Jagr's agent, Petr Svoboda, was trying to start a bidding war because after Montreal dropped out of the running he kept telling the media that it was "Pittsburgh, Detroit and a team that wants to remain unnamed."
