im currently reading WoT myself. I'm on The Shadow Rising atm... I'm finding myself losing interest though as its beginning to get quite drawn out. All of the characters are spread out and I hate having to keep track of them all. Especially because I read before going to sleep and I don't want to have to actually use my brain. That's kind of my complaint with the last book for a song of ice and fire. He took so long getting that book out that I had forgotten a lot about it and then he spends a huge amount of time introducing even MORE characters that had little to do with anything. But c'est la vie. Still a good read. It'll start dragging very soon, but if you can make it through that section then you're going to be ready for all the awesome stuff in 11, 12 and 13. The thing about WoT is that so much stuff is foreshadowed it's not even funny. Something mentioned in passing in book 1 ends up being a huge deal in book 12. I will agree that a lot of his smaller characters are super tough to keep track of, some of their names are way too similar. If you can get to book 10 you'll start seeing the story come back together. Jordan's problem is he has such a huge, broad scale plot that it takes him several books to get things set up, not to mention his writing style that fills pages in his sleep. I know I'll have to reread 13 and possibly 12 before going on to 14. Maybe I'll go back and read 4- 13 hahaha.
