The Dilemma. Terrible movie; avoid at all costs if possible.

last couple of movies: get him to the greek - sex, drugs, (the bad parts of sex and drugs) and very little rock & roll. Thought it would be funny then i watched it and will never ever again (hopefully).
I Am Number Four - Loved it thought it dragged out though and can see were the filming team want to make sequels. Though afterwards i went on wiki and it said alot of people hated it though i feel it was good and had some cool stuff. Though of course it maybe cause i liked Push and those people didn't like it either.

Just saw "The Tourist" and "Hereafter" last night. Enjoyed "The Tourist", I had my hunches though. I thought "Hereafter" could have been great, but they didn't push the envelope enough. While I believe they put the proper emphasis on his power, considering what it does and his attitude towards it, the story skipped around too much. After their initial encounters, I had trouble getting into any of the characters. The Dilemma. Terrible movie; avoid at all costs if possible. I've actually been in a similar situation, not quite the same, but similar. I found it to be funny, but to me the climax and resolution were lacking compared to the rest of the movie. last couple of movies: get him to the greek - sex, drugs, (the bad parts of sex and drugs) and very little rock & roll. It was good to see Jonah Hill play something other than "adolescent, fat, and awkward". I Am Number Four died for me when Olyphant died. Damn that movie. It was good otherwise, and I agree it looks like they're setting up for sequels. The ending had a "Transformers 1" feel to it.

Just watched "The Source Code" was prety good though it was a little draggy and you could tell when they stop showing certain things but was very interesting but probably more for the people who are open-minded about scientifical things. Overall good, would recommend but more for if you have a bit of "free time and bored" than "i have to see this now".

"The Tourist".
Interesting movie. It wanted to have a "gotcha" moment, but fell short. The acting really pulled the movie through though, which you would expect from that cast.

The Dilemma - I second that this was not good. I laughed really hard 3 times but that was it. After an hour I wanted it to be over. They try to turn one of the coolest actors on the planet in Vince Vaughn into Michael Scott and it fails.

Well for me Vince Vaughn is cool. In this movie, he has that awful toast and basically can't do simple things like talk to his best friend. Sure, he is playing a different character but I watch Vince Vaughn movies for him to be cool. It was just painful to watch him make stupid choice after stupid choice. It was too long.

I can see that point of view. I liked it personally, because he was willing to take a role that actually contradicted his normal one. Took the "cool" look and totally reversed it. Having been in a similar situation, I could relate, and I thought he pulled it off well.

True Grit - I really enjoyed it. Bridges is really good in it but the girl is awesome. Definitely worth a rent if you haven't already.

I thought The Dilemma was awful as well. I think it's because it was promoted as a comedy, but it's not really all that funny.
Hall Pass was funny as hell though. Laughed through the entire thing.
And I just got back from seeing the new X-Men movie...not as bad as I was afraid it was gonna be. Michael Fassbender is just top notch as Magneto. Love that guy.

I thought the dilemma was ok, it is NOT a comedy though, and with kevin James and vince vaughn you'd expect it to be. It's more of a drama really.
Hall pass was a good laugh definately a lads movie and not really one to watch with the mrs, I watched it with banks the other week and laughed through most of it.
I watched "kill the Irishman" I really enjoyed that, true story too. I think everyone would like that film, quite gripping too.

I just watched hanna last night, that was pretty food. Had a strange soundtrack but it fit the movie well and I quite liked it in a wierd kind of way. That young girl is an exceptional young actress, seen her in a few things now but she has an unusual name so it's hard to remember

Water for elephants
perfect Sunday afternoon type movie, brilliant cast too. Cristopher waltz (jewhunter from inglorious bastards) is simply one of the best actors on the planet right now perhaps even the best. Puts in another damn fine performance here. It's just a great story that gets you hooked

The Company Men - It was OK. Nothing great. Fairly predictable and Ben Affleck's character is very dumb at times.

I sat down with the kids and wife last week and watched Labyrinth (1986)...the one with a young Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. In my mind, that movie will always be a great kids classic. It has its creepy moments for a kid but it is one of those movies I could watch again and again.

True Grit - I really enjoyed it. Bridges is really good in it but the girl is awesome. Definitely worth a rent if you haven't already. I so second this. Just watched this yesterday. The girl was amazing in it. I also saw Anchorman for the first time this weekend. A lot funnier then I thought it would be. I also have to say I though Get Him to the Greek was hysterical. One of the funniest movies I have seen in a while.

Yeah Black Swan was just wacky. It was ok but I watched and I don't know if it was missing something or I was. Just a strange movie.
