After finnally fininishing the staring of thou computer screen for 4 whole days in class, i've basically mastered HTML. And it started to make me think about a neat idea. Even though there isn't that many reviews and such in there (yet), its still a idea that hit me. Sooner or later theres gonna be reviews like wildfire, and someone doesnt wanna go through 744 pages of reviews to find super mario 3DS. The archive would be a little neat Private Web Site to where only a link can get you there, and all the Reviews are nicely catergorized by Genre, Type of Review, Reviewer, and Letter, and maybe even System.

I'd be ok with setting one up if someone wanted one. Wouldn't be difficult.
The only problem is we'd have to make a thread that linked to it as we can't make any changes to these boards.

Its a thought to consider.
The only thing i can say right now without really giving it too too much thought Sondi is if someone does a search it can pinpoint reviews fairly easy. The thing that is nice about the setup is that its an intergral part of the board so that reviews seem to come straight from our userbase.
Now, we can definitly think on it in time and see what we can come up with. Like you said Michael, might be able to construct something but im not 100% sure yet on how it would work by having it a seperate page.
We will have to think on it though.

Yeah, that's the thing I really dislike about these, since you don't have any type of server it's all done by PB. Therefore you can't set up a site or even a link at the top.

Well the biggest reason though i selected these boards was because i wasnt planning to go into that sort of site, i mean it would be nice but....you gotta start off small and work your way on up Just us getting our forums off the ground is the main thing, in time we can figure more out....but for me personally in the time i have i didnt plan to work on a site with that much HTML stuff happening. If we can partner with a great site that has that then we can go from there but most of the time in many of my travels over the years, forums were just forums and while its nice to have that other stuff you gotta have constant people working on them to keep them afloat and right now we are still just gettin of the ground guys, so we are mainly going to work with what we have for the time being.

But see the only thing about waiting is that your userbase will be locked into these forums. If you were going to add a content section you'd really want to consider doing it earlier rather than later. If you are waiting until lots of members have 2000+ posts then it's going to be much tougher to change stuff like that. Believe me I've been through radical website changes, after that change it wasn't nearly as popular.
And it's a bit difficult to link back to some sort of portal with these forums.
As I said in my PMs if you would like to partner with us that's great, and I would be able to work on HTML etc, though I'd really like it if we could find someone else that knows a bit more to help out. I think we could do some awesome things together, but we'd need to work through a lot.
I know what you mean about not getting the news out before someone like Joystiq and IGN, but to me that's not what it's all about. My goal has always been focusing on what the community likes or maybe wouldn't see on a site like IGN. And having the people who are writing those articles involved in the discussion is another big thing.
Heck my staff is already talking about trying to go to E3 next year.

Well I'm open to suggestions, I mean here's my thing. I already paid for stuff in terms of my domain name and a few other things, so I mean if there's a way that we can combine the two somehow as is that we are the forum to gamers Arcadia perhaps, then I'm game. I'm all for if we figure a way to combine to where we expand and have different people working in different areas. But I'm game for anything, throw me suggestions though in how we can go about it.

We'll chat on AIM when you can hop on. I'll tell you a funny story about domains haha.
If you would prefer other staff members be involved, then it may be best to make a new board here where current staff members and myself can talk about it, up to you.
