I've just put about 2 hours into the game and am liking it so far, however, one aspect of Fable that I find very annoying is going up for meaningless interactions with some of the NPC's with shaking hands and belching. I see that you increase your followers this way, but I'm just wondering if its a critical need without plot spoilers. I actually usually like talking with NPC"s in RPG's, but just going from each person to each person and shaking hands is not my idea of a good time. So I'm wondering if I will not have access to something later by going through these tedious steps?

From what I remember I only spoke with NPC's if I absolutely had to and I beat the game just fine.
BTW...did you play Fable and Fable 2? Fable 3 IMO was a complete mess of a game and a chore to beat.
Not trying to shit on your experience in anyway either but the first two were MUCH better.

Fable 2 and 3 lost me because it is so stupid in some respects.
Farting with people? Belching? Peter M can be a retard at times.

At least in 3 you can take peoples heads and shove them near your ass before you fart, in fable 4 i hear you can straight up shit on someone's chest.

I had a great time in Fable 1 and 2. I didn't really care for Fable 3, too much micromanaging. Ya, talking with the npc's is actually still a big part of it.

Didn't care at all for 3. Never got into 1 or 2.
