You know I think the first is a great game Dunker, although the only issue I have is that they focused more on the online aspect of questing with others and doing missions etc...which is cool for those looking for that experience, the story i feel didnt get quite as much work BUT its very enjoyable in terms of combat and the atmosphere etc...
I need to actually get back to WKC, but I think if someone is looking for a PS3 RPG, I do think its one of the better rpgs from all that I have played of it, definitly.

Haven't played the original. RPG's just require more time than I can commit to these days.

Just to note, WKC 2 comes with an updated copy of WKC1.

WKC is one of those games that I somehow missed. I've got to play the first before I drop $60 on the sequel.

I played about halfway through the original and then my PS3 died and I lost the save. I've thought about replaying the original but since 2 comes with 1 and has all the updates and fixes they did for 2 I'll just play it before loading up 2.

Just to note, WKC 2 comes with an updated copy of WKC1. If that's the case, I'll wait until August and play through both. |

I really appreciate that the devs are including the entire first game - with additions/fixes - bundled with this release. Very smart move to bring back old fans while catering to new ones as well.

I couldn't agree with this statement more. I'm so pumped to pick this game up. I really hope the release is August 2 as this will be most of the month for me. |

hrm maybe im the outlier here ;d i love my jrpgs but wkc was awful. i beat wkc but i was seriously disappointed. i dont think i ever fully got the battle system. it seemed a bit convoluted and didnt like how limited i was with the action chips. if i get a new style i want to abuse it! felt like i was penalized for using the higher tier stuff. i cant comment on the story since even NES games had more developed stories. it really was save the princess and to do that you get to be a transformer. i cant really remember much more than that. the mmorpg feel to exploring was nice though. some of the areas were cool like the big turtle. i might still get wkc2 eventually but not for $60. I paid $60 for WKC and was expecting an AAA title since it's from level-5 and I love their games. but that's just my 2 cents  |

Yeah, I can definitely see why you weren't a huge fan of the game. I was not immediately hooked on it. In the end it won me over with the customizable combat and town-building stuff.
