Hello all,

Just wondering if we have any musicians on the board? I personally play the drums...poorly. lol I use to have a rock band called JERICHO FALLS. You can listen to some old home made recordings of ours at www.myspace.com/jerichofalls

I'm not a great player but I have alot of fun with it. If anyone else plays a instrument I would love to hear some audio or video files! So what do you play?

PS If anyone does get bored and go listen to our tracks I believe "Signs of the times" is the best followed by "Heartbeat". I didn't have a click track so there are some minor speed issues.

Well I played trombone through high school in concert and jazz band. Does that qualify? I also got to play in a Christmas concert with our local symphony orchestra once.

I've played trumpet all my life and I taught myself piano (although I'm just ok with it), sax, baritone, drums, and a teeny bit of guitar. I wish I had the motivation to try to learn guitar better, but I'm really bad at learning chords x.X

This is all done with a Keyboard Shortcut mastery and a Mouse. Getting Some Numark Turntables during the summer from working. Don't ask about The Pedobear thing...

Piano for the better part of 17 years. About 5 years of it were formal lessons, then I stopped taking them and lost my ability to read sheet music. From that point on I learned to play by ear, and then I learned everything I know today (self-taught). Moral of the story: lessons taught me nothing; and learning to play by ear has made me a very good musician (according to my peers).

I play guitar/bass. Not sure if I'm a musician though heh. I've done a bit of home recording with sequenced drums, some grindcore stuff, some thrash. I have an EP I made that was influenced by German thrash bands like Destruction/Sodom. I have a link for that if anyone is really that interested.

I excel in other areas.

In 6th grade, we took a music test to see what instrument you should play. Everyone had to take it.

People were getting their grades back and it told you what instrument you should play. Some said flute others said drums, etc . . . I got mine back and it said please excel in other areas. So, I do that.

edit: Oh yeah, for anyone interested in goregrind. I did make a few tracks with a mate of mine back in 03/04. I made a video put to some clips of a Dario Argento movie (Deep Red)

I played trombone for many years. All through high school and college.

I don't call myself a musician, more like a strong hobbiest of the guitar.

I haven't played much in the last few years.but here is one of the last things i recorded. It's my recreation of Metallica's One. I used a backing track from Guitar Hero so It's the real drum and vocal tracks but I did all of the guitar except the backing during the solo's.

I have some abilities on guitar. I haven't picked it up in way too long though. Actually, a friend came over a few months ago and we jammed. He had his acoustic, I plugged in my electric.

Other than that, I am wicked good (ok, not Through the Fire and Flames Good on Expert) at Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. I can play most songs on Expert Level. That should count for something right?

Well, I played trumpet in high school - and I might in college - but was also forced to learn how to play French Horn/Melofone (sp?). I've also been trying to teach myself how to play guitar but I'm a horrible teacher due to the simple fact that I can't seem to motivate myself. So, yep, not very informative but I consider myself somewhat of a musician.
