First and foremost, Castlevania Lords of Shadow has blown me away with its soundtrack, this is by far my favorite tune from the game:

Super Meat Boy and Scott Pilgrim come to mind quickly, I like all Halo soundtracks  and Red Dead Redemption, especially when you take the trip to Mexico. |

Thats a really good song. I really like when games use the songs to set up certain events such as boss fights. Its like telling you that something huge is coming up haha.

Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption both had soundtracks that I thought really added to the games.

I loved Eternal Sonata's soundtrack and really dug Prince of Persia 2008's soundtrack
I also have to mention Bit Trip Runner, I'll play that game just to hear the soundtrack.

If we're also going to include last gen ( ), my favorite has to be the Tales of Legendia soundtrack. But FFX is also beautiful. It's a close second. |

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - The Crystal Bearers has an amazing soundtrack, IMO.

My absolute favorite soundtrack from this gen is from the game Nier. It's called NieR Gestalt & Replicant OST if you are interested in listening to some tracks on iTunes.

So many good ones to choose from...but I'm partial to the Halo soundtracks. My favorite though would have to be Valkyria Chronicles. I LOVED that one.

I was nearly about to reply that this thread needed more NieR but you've restored my faith. Easily the best soundtrack in a game this gen, highly recommended.
