First Templar is surprising me!!

I am really enjoying this game so far. Just started it tonight and played about 3 hours. I am on Chapter 3 and I have to say that I am liking it. Is it the most polished game? No! But I haven't run into any real glitches and I am not getting any slow down or major drops in frame rate so far.

The combat so far is hitting x a lot but you can spend your xp on health or unlocking moves. It was cool as I grabbed an enemy with one character and quickly switched to my other character and killed the guy I was holding. So you don't level up like 1, 2, 3 etc but you did gain xp for killing guys or completing main and bonus objectives. So the more you do the more xp you gain and the more things you can unlock.

Each chapter has a few bonus objectives plus chests to open that allow you to find pieces of armor or weapons for your 2 characters. The chapters themselves are linear but there are different linear paths you can take. You will never get lost and you have an arrow pointing you in the direction of the main quests but if you see another path take it. You can find bonus objectives and/or chests.

The story so far is not earth shattering but it isn't bad. The voice acting isn't great but passable. I haven't played any co-op yet but seeing as you can quickly switch characters and combine moves I am sure if you are playing with a buddy it will be a pretty fun experience.

Wow nice! Man thats great to hear Potter. Does it look fairly good on the 360? I been missing my 360 so im making it my goal to play it more here again, so if i snag it i may get it for 360. Or i may just do gamefly for games like this.

Hows the music so far? And thats just great to hear its pretty fun, im dyin to try it.

It looks pretty good. I mean nothing so far is jaw dropping but I don't think it is ugly or anything like that. As for the music I am not sure. I guess a bad note is I don't remember anything about the music. I will make a point to pay attention to it tomorrow night when I can sink more time into it.

Music is actually pretty good Seth. It fits the mood right. I played a little split screen co op with my cousin tonight but unfortunately your split screen co op partner can't earn any achievements. Not sure how it works on line though.

Well u unlock different combos with your xp. Basically the xp is like money and you spend that money on unlocks. Weapons and armor can be upgraded by finding chests to open. You collect pieces of armor and weaponry and when you complete the set you can use those weapons and armor.

Man that just sounds fun as hell. Just my style in terms of what makes a game exciting to me. I really need to get this sucker soon. How are the achievements so far Potter? Its funny im not really an achievements whore but i love to know if they are doable or massive time sinks

The achievements are not too bad. If you are someone who just runs through a game without exploring you can still unlock quite a few but if you are someone like me who will look to conquer the bonus quests and go after the treasure chests you will open even more. The only ones you can't get on your own are the ones tied to playing with someone on line. There are 4 or 5 of those.

Edit: Also there is 3 for difficulty and I am assuming they stack but will find out. The game isn't too difficult on normal and I will probably give a run through on hard. The achievements seem like they calculate across playthroughs because for some reason I started on easy and then restarted on normal and I unlocked one that was a kill x amount of guys in a certain way.

Also there is a chapter select so if you miss bonus obectives in one chapter you don't have to replay the game. You can use chapter select and do it that way.

Sorry Seth that I didn't answer. For some reason didn't see the question. I did finish it and I definitely liked it a lot. Is it a perfect game? No. But I thought it was pretty good. Definitely one of those hidden gems that a lot of people won't try because it didn't get great review scores.

I try so hard with gamefly, i got gamefly solely for this game and they just do not send this game to me no matter what lol....so im still hoping to play it but im glad to hear that its a decent game.
