Exactly a year from when I graduated and 1.5 yrs since my hubby graduated. 35K in student loans are history! We have no other current debt! Now, I've got to spend $500 to get my car repaired.

Grats CN. Very fiscally responisible. Wish I could pull that off.

Damn that is impressive. Now you should go and treat yourself. At least after you pay to get your car fixed.

How awesome for you! I also have car repairs to take care of right now... might as well just buy a new vehicle, but I can't afford that

It just has some bad u-joints or whatever they are. I'd like a newer model Accord(I have a 99 Accord now) but my husband's car is older and has far more mileage than mine, so he'll be first to get one.

I expect to see more hauls in the Arcade Room now My husbands car is currently at 213,000 miles. But it's a Toyota. My Accord is sitting at 104,000 miles. And yeah, most definitely you'll be seeing me post more retro hauls. The first of next month, we're going on our 1 year anniversary trip and in that city, there is the awesome retro game store. I mean, they have boxed Virtual boys, even boxed Magnavox Odysseys. We plan on splurging there!

Congrats! I have a 2004 Honda Civic hybrid that's got like 130,000+ on it. But I got it used and the person who owned it before me was a traveling businessman or something, so most of the mileage is not mine. Hybrids are awesome in this economy, though. I spend about $40 to fill up once a month.

my interest rate on my student loans is locked in at like 3% or less (I can't remember) Inflation is higher then my interest rate. It's the only reason I'm still paying them instead of just putting the last 8 or 9k to finish them off (graduated in 2003). I rather spend the money I have saved on my mortgage and house improvements

Holyshit that is amazing! How'd you pull that off? Starting on payments pretty much as soon as we had jobs. We paid roughly 2k a month on on, often more. And we got back over 4k with taxes this year and put all of it toward loans.
