30 years ago, Pac-Man was all the rage. Space Invaders was still a big hit in the arcades. Atari 2600 consoles were relatively high tech for the average family.
Look at where we are now. With all the progress made in 30 years and games today looking more and more photo-realistic, where do we go from here?
Envision the year 2041. What's the gaming industry look like? Are we still using consoles or some sort of pc or maybe would they consolidate into one unit? What about graphics? And will motion control still be around or will true VR come into existence?
What do you think?

Most likely it will be virtual reality of some sort. It will be photo realistic as in it will be like controlling real life. How do we control the games I have no idea but I cannot see them completely going away with a controller of some sort.
It is really tough to say but all I know it will be mind blowing with interaction we cannot even fathom right now.

Maybe environmental changes such as scents, temperature changes, etc too.

^^^ Yes, I can see that being a possibility as well.
