Hmm, reviews seems average to poor at this point. IGN, Joystiq and 1up's scores seem especially harsh.
I've read snippets of each but I need to go through and read all of these later to really see what the deal is.

This makes me pretty sad. But most of the issues that IGN had with the game are supposed to be resolved in the Day 1 patch. The other issues the reviewer had were pretty stupid. Forgetting which class you are is the games fault??

I'm not sure if I should pick this up. I loved playing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory... but the reviews really threw me off. I really wish this had a demo. I might wait a week and pick up LA Noire instead.

That review convinced me to pick it up. It looks very similar to RTCW: Enemy Territory, it looks like lots of fun.

I thought I would regret my purchase because the first games I played had a lot of lag. I played a couple of more hours and its really fun. I'm starting too really get into it. Hopefully the game will keep getting support from the developers.
Edit: Although almost no one has a mic, the teamwork is great. I've been playing as a medic and feel like I contribute when we win.

Have you tried to play with friends yet? Is it difficult to get into a game together without a lobby?

What are the classes you can choose from?
I wonder if this will be the replacement for TF2.

I tried inviting some people, its not difficult, but it just takes a little more work. You have to start a private match, then send invites to everyone you want to join. You get to play as a Soldier, Medic, Engineer, Spy. You can customize what body type you have, such as heavy, medium, or light. The character creator is great. And the sound for the game is really good. Almost as good as Battlefield.

I'll probably be on tonight. I have the 360 version. Competitive matches have been great, if I play 8v8 the game will start to lag, but when I join 5v5 it runs smooth.
You can add this tag, lots of people playing Brink
My GT: Spaaaaaaaaace GT: GAF Brink 360

Although the reviews are pretty hit and miss I have to say I really like the game. My best friend and I both picked it up and so far are loving it. It's got pretty good single-player, but obviously where it shines is multi. It's *GREAT* for playing with friends.

Yeah, I'm really liking it.. Played all single player in co-op.. the AI can be pretty hard some times even when I was playing on easy. I'm going to try and get beat it on Versus or Hard AI. Overall, I've had much less lag lately and I really am enjoying the game.
