I never played the original but Crysis 2 it's one of those games that I feel like I can just stop playing where I am at now and not miss anything. It's really boring IMO.

Wow really Stephen??? Is it just lacking action/story or is it simply the gameplay doesnt have much punch?

The gameplay is there. The story might be better if I played the first. The level design is "open" but not open like the first one was from what I have been reading. There have been several points in the game where I can just walk past all enemies as long as I use my suit correctly.
