Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive let it known that the game will be pushed back just a wee bit from its original release date of October 3rd. By "wee bit", we really mean just a few days' delay, because the new date has been set for October 18th. See, that's just a couple more weeks. We're sure you could hold to your horses till then.
No explanation was immediately given as to the reason for the delay, but we can imagine that they just want to polish it till it shines to perfection so it could at least be at par with the standards of its award-winning predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum. Of course, there's no doubt that they're aiming for something higher with Batman: Arkham City.
No worries, just a couple of weeks moved, and we're sure to get one of the best titles to come out of this generation. Arkham City brings opens its gates for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.

Wasn't the first one delayed a few months? I know that turned out fine! I never have a problem with a developer delaying a game to add more polish.

I didn't even know that it had an official release date, I just heard that it was coming out in October. A couple of weeks isn't a delay, a couple of months is. When I read this thread title, I was worried that it was being delayed until next year. It's a little early in the year to be announcing a couple week delay, that's something that I would expect them to do closer to its release.

Thats not to bad, its going to make this fall/winter even more ridiculous but it will be more than worth the wait!

that's ok, they can delay it even further for all i care, or i will get burned out on the franchise as i JUST finished part 1  awesome awesome game though! |

When i think of a game being delayed i think about Duke Nukem Forever. If it came out on the may date it should have, I would be playing it right now Looking at tig ol biddies.
