Yeah, I was watching the news last night and then the reports came in that Obama will address the nation. Had no idea what to expect until the news started leaking what it was regarding. I don't understand why they put the body in the water though after killing him. Makes it sound fishy, no?

They dumped his body in the water to follow Muslim custom.
But this also means that it cannot be retrieved by either friend or foe, so I can see why conspiracy theories would pop up.

Yeah but...they executed him, which I am guessing was done w/out even warning. I doubt they would have considered taking him alive. He was a mass murderer and still a known threat. But after he's dead, they respect his religious beliefs? I don't know, it just seems off to me.

Well I understand that he showed know respect for us and our citizens and he declared war on every American but I understand why the U.S. felt the need to respect the religion he was. There is always that concern about image and the backlash that we could have faced. It seems like we are held to a higher standard when it comes to this stuff. Also we don't want to piss off all the people who are muslim but don't agree with Bin Laden. They still respect the religion even though he was misguided. Plus we very well could have said we dumped him in the ocean even though we really have his body still. You never know. The one thing I do know that I am confident he is in fact dead.

The night I found it out, I found out on the game Zombie Panic Source, went straight to a live steam from MSNBC and spent an hour or two watching the news come out culminating in the speech. Fantastic news, now let's move on to take down the remainder of them.

Yea, i agree with Tomtin. It just doesnt seem logical to me. I just dont believe everything i hear in the media since about only 3 companies really own all of it. I dont know why we wouldnt of taken him alive, and given him a trial (which of course he would of lost). Instead of just shooting him and then putting him out to sea, which we are told actually took place. I also think there should be pictures of his death actually out there just so everyone can verify that is it him and he is dead.
