Mrs bought me a kinect for my b'day the other week but I was never really fussed by it, it came with kinect adventures which is ok for an hour or so, if that.
She borrowed dance central off a friend and I've given it a go, it's ok when drunk but otherwise, meh.
So any good decent suggestions for it?

Dance central is the only one worth your time I still have yet to play it. Really the only Kinect games I've played is Adventures and the demo for Sports. I own Joy Ride and DC though.

Kinect Sports is the best of all the games. Dance Central is pretty sweet too. Be sure to get the free download pack for Sports as well, if you buy it.
Sports is like 20 games in one, it is really a must own. The Soccer, Ping Pong, Volleyball, Track and boxing are all loads of fun. The bowling is a bit wonky, but the space invaders mini-game is pretty sweet.

Dance central isn't too bad, the mrs enjoys it a lot so it's something we can do together gaming wise, played a few sports games on the demo. Bowling and 100M sprints, it was actually a lot of fun so I'll def be getting that. Also dl the demo for sonic freeriders, and damn that was good, was not expectin that at all. That's a must buy. Weren't to keen on joyride but after playin the sonic game they are similar but it's no contest.
What about motion sports? I see that's quite cheap. Any good?

The only two I own (beyond the pack in Adventures), is Sports and Dance Central. DC can very fun if you have any rhythm and body coordination at all. Sports is the best all around demo of what Kinnect is capable of. Best as a first look.
All Kinnect games are best enjoyed with a a small group of people you are comfortable looking like a fool around.

Child of Eden. If you have a Kinect, this is it. You can also play it with a controller, but personally I refuse to even try it. I don't even want to know what it feels like with the controller. Great use of Kinect imo.

I really like Dance Central. Its easily the best dance game for any system easily beats any mat based games like DDR or waving wiimote of Just Dance. Other then that I play Zumba fitness. Kinectimals was amusing and so utterly cute for awhile but I got tired of it. Have not tried Kinect Sports or Child of Eden will have to pick those up eventually.
