So to get caught up with all this Portal 2 stuff, i forgot that Portal was part of the Orange Box.
So i fired it up and i plan to play it here later tonight, but i was messing with it now and what exactly is the way to play this game.
Like im only a couple mins in, i got my portal gun...but portals im making are just taking me back to the same room. What am i missing?

The first levels you can only shoot one portal. The levels provide the second portal.
Shortly later you'll get to place two portal wherever you want. One portal by right-clicking, the other by left clicking the mouse. Not sure what the Xbox controls are.

it's an awesome game, Seth. I just finished it last night. On PC, of course.  I bought the Orange Box back in like 2007 I think, whenever it was new and just now played Portal.  Really short too, finished it in about 5.5 hrs. But it's oh so sweet! |

My wife will be at choir practice and I will have some time before the draft starts.
...loved the original portal.

Me and my husband played Portal at the same time, me on my laptop and him on his pc, he completed it though, and I didn't, I got stuck at the last level.
I've promised that once I find work I'll get him Portal 2

I am going to really put some time in, and then I'll buy portal 2 soon here. But man that game really has gotten alot of positive reviews.

Portal is one of those games where when you first play it, it's super strange, but once you get how the game works, you can not stop playing it. The humor is the strong point of the game because as we all know, the cake is a lie  By the way Seth, Portal 2's co-op missions are awesome! Keep enjoying the first Portal. You won't be disappointed. |

Really short too, finished it in about 5.5 hrs. I don't know how you got 5+ hours out of it, because I took my time and still finished it in about 3 hours. It's extremely short, which is my only complaint with it. The ending is probably my favorite ending in a videogame ever. Really? I knew you were going to love this, Seth. ...you did throw me for a loop, though, with not really liking Master and Commander, but I will let that slide.  One more thing, Seth; you...will...love...the...s***...out of Portal 2. I promise. EDIT: Think of 2 as 1, with a much longer single player that has subtle story telling (ie, limbo), and ramps up nicely. ...and I have first dibs on you with the MP, but you may have to communicate.  Don't worry I think you can do it through avatar gestures. |
