Nier is truely a cool game

I heard and seen some serious negativity surrounding this game but man its not bad at all, it really isnt...its actually surprised me a bit. The start was so so but once you got to the village and just seen all the lush land, man it really all came together.

Not a bad game at all so far, hopefully i can stick through and make a review eventually here.

It really is a underrated and very fun game, I need to get back into playing it. I stopped about halfway through as I got distracted with other titles but I would love to finish the game.

Actually come to think of it I know why I stopped. It seemed that the point I got to, you had to redo all of the dungeons over again. I just couldn't stomach doing that at the time and put it to the side. You'll see what I mean when you get to that part.

That being said though, it is one of the best Japanese developed games to come out this gen IMO, and the soundtrack is indeed fantastic.

It really is worth it, this game is one of the better newer rpgs ive played..it really is alot of fun.

I thought that it was a pretty solid action RPG, but it does start repeating itself a little too much after the first half. The story, characters, boss fights and music are what stand out the most, while everything else is somewhat average. It held my interest until the end, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than $20 for it since it definitely feels like a budget game.

I got it for i think 20 also Phase, and yea...its perfect at this price. But its pretty good, i think its one of the better action jrpgs.

Yeah, i picked it up too, for like $15 i think it was. And i've enjoyed it alot, but i kinda stopped playing and need to get back to it.

I sort of lost steam about 15 hours in. It was a pleasant surprise though with the different type of gameplay mechanics.

I listen to the soundtrack quite often though.

BTW, I'm not sure if Nier has it, but I wish more RPGs would have a quick catch you up session if you haven't played in a while - like a story recap and directives for your next mission. It would make me less intimidated to get back in to it.

Dirt, I agree ! All RPGs especially need that, the Tales games do it but not to many others.

This game is really underrated. IMO, best JRPG this gen if you ignored the sidequest.

I think Nier is pretty fun. I haven't felt like playing it much lately, but it's not a bad game at all. It sucks that it got bashed in reviews so much when it came out, but at least it's been gathering a cult following lately.

Yea ive seen its name pop up a little more, its what got me pumped to play it! I think people really need to give it a retry if they passed on it or already decided it was no good. Its definitly solid.
