For me, it was Super Mario Bros 3. I got it with my NES in 1990, I believe. I remember I could never beat the 4th level and I've hated sky levels ever since!

My first game ever was the Mario Bros. & Duck Hunt game cart for the NES. I remember I used to miss on purpose in Duck Hunt just so the dog would come up and laugh at me, I loved that little guy.

Wow, I feel so young here. I think I was 3 when I got SMB3. No wonder I sucked so hard at it!

SMB3 gave me my first gaming related headache. I played it for like 8 hours straight. My head hurt so bad that I couldn't sleep that night.

If you are talking about games you own, then that would have to be Pac man and that multiplayer tank/flying game that came with it on the Atari 2600.
If you are talking about the first game i ever played, that was the arcade Pac-man, although i had to stand on a milk crate to see the screen. I think i was 4.

As far as games we (my brother and I) owned, Wizard of Wor or possibly International Soccer depending on which we put in the C64 first.
No idea what games I might have played before that point.

Definitely was the original super mario bros that came with my nes. I remember I got it on easter. I had no idea what it was...and I guess my life was never the same after that day lol.
Fast fwd years later, I remember my local video store had super mario 3 months before the actual release but it was in japanese. I didn't care that all the mushroom shops were speaking japanese in the game. I rented it as much as I could and beat it before it was ever released in the US.

I had a C64 but I was so young I can't really remember what games I had for it. I think there was a Sesame Street game I played? I don't remember what it was now. It was a computer and I played a sesame street game xD Anywho, the first game I remember was Duck Hunt / SMB for the NES. I ended up being scared of the dog for some reason.

I honestly have no idea what my first video game was. My family has had video games of all kinds in the household since before I was born, and out of them, I have no idea what the first one I played was. It's just always been part of my life. Some early ones I remember playing include Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Tetris, Frogger, Montezuma's Revenge, some old shooting-gallery computer game, Mega Man 2, Metroid, Zelda 1 & 2, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr., the computer port of the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, and a bunch of others.

I don't even remember. The earliest times I can remember playing games was combat on the 2600. I never really got games outside of the pack ins and had to borrow them from cousins and friends or rent them. I do remember Dragon Warrior was one of the first games I personally owned and was a gift from my dad.

My first game was actually Ninja Gaiden 2. (However I have an explict memory of it being Shadow Dancer.) I was only two years old and apparently, I actually beat a boss and a stage all by myself that my uncle couldn't even beat.
I think that was the first calling to the games.

I remember playing Atari games as a kid but don't ask me what all I played. The first console my parents bought us was the NES so I can vividly remember playing SMB and Duck Hunt all the time. I know I played older games but that cart is the first owned.

I don't remember my first game but I do remember playing all those games like Pac Man, Q Bert, Pitfall, Mouse Trap, Keystone Kapers, and a ton of others. We had a Gemini, Coleco, and Atari at some point or another. The first system I played like crazy though was the NES and Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. I remember the dog laughing and I remember always putting the gun right up to the TV. I also remember having the ROB thing that came with the NES. Does anyone remember that thing?
