I have just finished Game of Thrones great book but now I have a Question...To anyone who hase read the Song of Ice and Fire series, I have a question I really want to know the answer to...
Is Ned Stark really dead?
I know this could be a series spoiler, so if you want, just send me a private message.
Also GAT was a great read! I have ordered Clash of kings and can't wait to read it!

Pretty sure he's dead. I haven't finished Game of Thrones yet, but I stumbled into a thread about A Dance with Dragons, and someone was saying how it's a shame that Ned never got to tell Jon Snow...something. Not going to post what that is here because it's a spoiler and speculation at this point. Stumbling into that thread was probably one of the worst mistakes I've ever made, lol. Ned is one of my favourite characters, so it made me sad face.

Yeah he's toast. I was pretty flabbergasted too since I really liked the character.
I've read the book series released so far (a feast for crows was last one) but it's really been a long time since I've read the first couple.
The series doesnt play around with stuff like that. Get used to people dropping like flies.

There just isn't really any way to recover so grievous a wound.

Yeah, he's dead...
Martin like Stephen King plays for keeps. No character is safe. Just wait till you get to book 3.
