So, my parents bought Sucker Punch for my birthday - which I just opened. After purchasing it we got a deal on the pay per view for $.99 so we rented it before opening the DVD. Now, critics bashed on this movie since the get-go. I had wanted to see it in theaters with my dad - as we usually go to these types of movies - but because of the reviews it received we didn't get to go, thinking it would suck. So, when we watched it I wasn't expecting anything amazing or anything - and it wasn't - but the plot line was nothing how the trailers displayed. It was more of a thought provoking movie with what seemed to be a bunch of video game sequences thrown in.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. So I was wondering, did anyone else see this movie? And did you think it sucked as bad as the reviews made it out to be? I do agree with most people that Zack Snyder should stick to making movies based off of comic books but this original story was pretty good, in my opinion. So, what did you guys think?

I actually liked Sucker Punch. I understand the all style and no substance critique of the film, but I was still entertained. I also enjoyed Battle: Los Angeles which the critics hated, so go figure.

I enjoyed it somewhat (or, I didn't hate it). It is a fairly bizarre story, but as an eye candy piece it works alright.

Story-wise, I was only disappointed in how it ended. But from a purely entertainment point of view, it was pretty damned awesome.
