Decision Time.

I got two days to decide wether to go ahead and trade in my Xbox for a PS3 or Keep it. I dun know what to do! PS3 Has some neat features and fun games that I like more than the Xbox, but the only problem is that I want to still talk to my friends from Canada. I'm about 74% sure for PS3, but i just need some confirmation. Can any of you guys recommend any games, or tell me about some neat features Ps3 Has that gives it the edge.

Why can't you talk to your friends on a PS3? I'm assuming none of them have one because there is no technical reason why you couldn't.

That exact reason is why. They all dont have Ps3s but they should learn to pick up the phone anyway.

I say save up to you can get a PS3 without giving up your 360 and then you will have the best of both worlds!

I like the cut of your jib. I'm a multi-console owner, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Now, if having both isn't an option, well, I think only the OP can make that decision. For me, I would go to the console where most of my friends hang out. That happens to be the 360 for me, so it's the system I'm on the most.

Whatever your friends are playing is what I would stick with, if that's what you're into.

I do PS3, combined with Netflix (which works on Xbox as far as I know) and the blu-ray player I'm set.

Don't forget free online play as well. I don't own a PS3 nor Xbox 360, and only OP can really decide which to have if he can't have both, but I'd personally go for PS3, I'm not a fan for paying for multiplayer.

The PS3 doesn't have cross game chat, fwiw. I know the 360 does. It's kind of weird playing Halo while talking to someone playing CoD. ;D

Thats perfectly fine because its annoying playing a thinking game where you have to concentrate and 3 other friends are yelling and screaming cause their playing L4D. I like my parties silent.

Sondi, I agree with dunker, neo and the rest...play with your friends.

However, if you are bored and you REALLY want to play some of what the PS3 has to offer which you can't get on the 360...well then that decision is sort of made for you.

BTW, for purposes of full disclosure multi-console owner here.

I wish you had the cash for both, my friend, but I know how tight times can be.

It was just an example. But I understand your point.

There's a lot of great reasons to keep a 360 but you seem like you have already made up your mind, so I'm not gonna bother bringing them up.

If you're dead set on the PS3, here's a few games I recommend:
Valkyria Chronicles
Heavy Rain
Heavenly Sword
Uncharted 1 and 2
Eternal Sonata (it's multiplatform but the PS3 version is better)
God of War Collection
Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (it's not out yet but it comes out this year)

I do have all three systems as well, for what it's worth.

If you are dead broke I don't suggest diving into the PS3 market as of yet. Even if you trade your 360 there will still be a difference in price. I would wait to make a decision until you are not dead broke.

The upside to a PS3, though, is playing online is free. So if you were paying for Xbox Live, you could cancel it.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Its a hard decision and thanks for the incite. I'm going to go with a PS3 because it seems more like my type. My friends will learn to talk to me on Facebook and besides the fact that i dont have any games they have anyway makes it pointless. The Ps3 Catches my eye because with the 360, Nothing catches me. I'm a Strategy , RPG, and Action kind of guy. The 360 is more focused on Shooters. So its natural for me to go there, yes. I don't know if I'll sell all my Xbox 360 stuff at once though.

These are some of my favorite games, combined with the games mentioned by Phoenix above (especially the God of War Collection) you really can't go wrong and have quite a bit of gaming ahead of you.
