Have You Ever Been Punched In The Face?

What is it like?

The only time I've ever been punched in the face full force was with a boxing glove. While it didn't feel pleasent, I can't imagine that it comes close to a bare fist face punch.

Can't say I have, I'm a lover not a fighter. I've never been involved in any sort of physical confrontation.

I haven't been punched in the face. However, when I played softball in seventh grade, I did get hit in the face with a metal bat and had my nose broken.

Hurt like crazy.

I have. Well, sorta. I used to do karate, and one time my sparring partner smacked me clean across the jaw... without his glove. I don't know how it came off, but it did. I was pretty young, though, so I don't recall what it felt like or how much it hurt. That same day we had a public demonstration and a piece of broken wood ended up slicing open my scalp. I DO remember how that felt, and I don't care to ever repeat the experience. It was a pretty bad day.

Yes, but neither time was it really on purpose.

Several times it happened while playing football (both highschool and college). Contrary to what they tell you, those helmets can't protect you from everything, some people just know how to get their hands in there.

The other time I was out with a buddy of mine and he's a real hound dog. Well, he went after the wrong girl and while I wasn't paying attention the girl's BF swung on him. He dodged, I wasn't so lucky.

I'd say I got pretty used to the head blows in football, since they weren't technically full on because of the angle they didn't hurt so bad.

The full blow to the head hurt really, really bad. I head a massive headache for at least 4 days. No concussion though.

I grew up in southwest Detroit and I've been in more fights than I can recount nor could I ever put a number on the times I've been punched in the face. Obviously it never feels good but it is kind of humorous when you get hit by a weakling, which usually happens when dealing with a group.

I also play hockey and have had a few fisticuffs. These actually are fun because of the context. It's part of the game and as players we approach it that way so it's all competition and gamesmanship.

Numerous Time. Most of the time i either don't feel it because of Anger Adrenaline, But the one time i did feel it, It hurt. My Jaw was hurting for 3 days. If fighting so much in and out of school, would make you a UFC Fighter, Then I'm Chuck Lidell. I'm the one punching in the Jaw, not getting punched.

Nope. I've hit a guy in the face on a couple occasions. They are both long stories but I broke my hand one time when I gave a guy 8 stitches. They also happened when I was young and stupid.

Yeah, an altercation at a basketball game when i was in high school. Didn't really hurt because the little bastard hit me when we started back playing ball and i didnt expect it. It hurts more when you know its coming lol

Once. He punched me and I punched him and that was it. I am sure it hurt but I don't really remember. I got into 2 other fights in my life and they were with the same person. Needless to say I didn't get punched in the face and it ended with him on the ground. That was so long ago though. I am not a fighter unless I am pushed into it or trying to help a buddy out.

Been punched in the face once in my life. Wasnt too pleasant but was 99% fine after 15 minutes.

Never got in a full out fist fight though. I'm a pretty get-along guy plus the fact im 6'5 and 210 lbs

a couple times. It sucks. Especially if they hit your nose at all. I think I've only taken shots to the eye and chin and never a real good temple or forehead hit. I did take a sucker punch to the face in high school once but got a few good jabs in before we were dragged apart. I was ripping on the kid pretty hard and deserved it though. We became friends days later.

I don't think I've ever been punched in the face - although if I have it must have been so hard that it left me with loss of memory - but I have punched people in the face before. It generally tends to hurt my knuckles so I don't like to think how it feels to the person I punched. ( I only punch my siblings, though )

Each little confrontation I've had with people, it becomes a bit easy to know when they're going to lash out physically and use the little martial arts I do actually know, and bring them to the floor.

John, I laughed my ass off so hard at that paragraph, and you know exactly why I did.

Yes, a few times. Notable ones are one that broke part of my bottom left molar, another that broke part of my top right tooth just before my molar. Neither are visible unless I open my mouth xbox hueg wide and you actually look for it, but I can feel it with my tongue.
