So, what is it? Your favorite game for a console - not including arcade, handhelds, etc.
For me it would be a hard mash-up between Brutal Legend and the first two Halo games. True, Halo: Combat Evolved is the game that made me a legit gamer in the first place but I've recently purchased the sequel and have been doing another play through - since we sold our first copy and my dad threw away the one we got after that so I purchased the game for myself for my birthday. And then Brutal Legend is just epic with the awesome cast, game play, and soundtrack. Hmm, I'm failing at my own thread. I'd have to give the win to Brutal Legend.

Tales of the Abyss for the PS2, by far. Amazing story, great voice-acting, awesome characters (Jade  ), fun battle system, awesome music, etc. The only downside was the load times. |

ill be honest and go with the bandwagon and say zelda ocarina of time. that game did no wrong in my eyes except a somewhat aggravating water temple.

Good god people, I have to chose 1?
ESPN NFL 2K5 - spending hours upon hours doing trades, messing with the online league websites, countless hours of gameplay, calling a buddy about the league for months on end to figure out how the next season would go. As much as I love the games I listed above, 2K5 has never made me feel like I had something really special...i mean REALLY. Ever after hearing that EA grabbed the rights of the NFL, I still played that game for another 2 years. No console game has done that before.

I'm finally getting to experience skies of arcadia right now neo.
Decent game I must say. I really liked the temple of pyrynn. Felt like Indiana Jones lol.

All-time favorite?
For the multiplayer - Goldeneye/Perfect Dark. Wasted many afternoons with friends on those games.
