OK, lets get this party started! Im ignoring the lockout and just going along here as I would any season, so lets establish and start to build whos in and if we have any interest in a starting a little money league or if we want to just play. Basically the way i do money leagues is we set a price for playing, that creates the pot and we would assign some cash on out to however we determine winners etc...But thats besides the point right now, we can discuss as we go forward towards the season but so far just consider it a regular league.

When we are ready to roll ill get the league set on up and send out invites. I do a pretty standard league, 6pts for TDs, generally i do about .5 on receptions to make WRs a little more versitle, 10yds rushing is a point, 15 yards receiving is generally a point and i do about 20-25yds passing is a point for QBs.

Other stuff is fairly standard but i will touch upon that as i set the league on up!

So with that said, lets get our players and figure out if we will be gunning for a 10-12 man league. I think 10 man is perfect to be honest but if we get 12 and were to do a money league that really sweetens things in terms of winnings, but again we can discuss that as we move forward.

The main thing about fantasy Darv is this, and not sure if this is of interest but you gotta really be in the know of all the stats going on. I mean techinically you dont, but to compete being able to know where/who is hot to sub in and out, to know when to pick guys up etc...

The problem with some leagues is when you have guys that dont do this and they just become like the freebie win. Not saying you would do this Darv but just explaining to you a bit how it goes, its pretty stat intensive overall.

Sounds like something I would love..... for about the first half of the season. Then something else would catch my interest and I wouldn't keep up with it lol

Hah, yea you gotta stick with it...thats the thing thats tricky with fantasy football. Too many guys do just that, its just one of those things you dont want to happen because it sadly can just ruin a league. Especially when guys will lose the first week or two and then dont set their lineups.

Youre call man, but if you really dont think youd keep interest then my suggestion is this...if i were you id try a basic public yahoo league. Give it a shot and just for the fun of it try it out this season and get introduced too it. Youre playing with people you dont know so if it truely does end up being not fun then meh, most pickup leagues are people just doing a side league anyways but if you love it and really find enjoyment from start to finish. Then maybe next year you can hop in the league here because i want to keep this league going, its best when you have a solid bunch.

Just a suggestion though. I just dont want ya to get in knee deep and find out you either dont like it and or lose interest is all Darv.
