^ Which model of PS3 are we talking about, though? The older phat models have issues similar to those of old 360s. Sondiame, there's no reason to consider buying a PS3 now if reliability is your chief concern; the slim 360s have proven to be quite reliable. I can understand that you're upset, but it seems as if you're letting your emotions cloud your judgement. Yes, the old 360 hardware is trash, but those days are over and there's really no reason to switch platforms unless the PS3 library interests you more than the 360's. Well with the Xbox there's nothing really that interest me with its library. Yet with PS3 they have my favorites like Disdega, Demon Souls, Little Big Planet, and Valkyria Chronicles. The play station store as well interest me more because it has Ps1 Classics, which was all I played when i was 6.

Not to put you off from the PS3 because I absolutely love mine. It is my primary gaming system. But, one year and one week after I bought it (got a phat 40GB in November 2007) the BluRay drive stopped reading BR discs. Sony, even though it was one week out of warranty, fixed for free. Good faith something or other they called it.
But as recently as May 14th, my PS3 got the "Yellow Light of Death" as it is known. I fixed it and it ran great up until last week when it happened again. I fixed it a second time but it will probably only run for a month or so (unless some sort of good fortune falls upon me). So, I am looking at probably replacing it with a new slim. I did put a 250GB hard drive in it which was easy peasy to swap.
The exclusives are awesome for the PS3. Not only the RPGs but also the Uncharted games, a good number of FPS games if you are in to those, Ratchet & Clank, etc. The PS3 definitely has a great library. And the multiplats run great as well.
Unfortunately, with the newer technologies it seems the failure rates are going up. I hope Nintendo builds a solid "next gen" system in the WiiU that doesn't have hardware issues and failure rates like the original Xbox 360's and the older PS3's.

The last of my worries is the Ps3 Breaking down because my older brother has one, and his house is trashy and he leaves his PS3 on all day, regardless of playing, Never broke down and he has a 40GB PS3

Man, that sucks. My Xbox has gone through two RRODs and the second one is what got me to keep it. I payed a friend to fix it up for me while my dad went out and bought an Xbox Elite. So, I guess in a way I'm happy mine has gotten the RROD? Confusing, I know.

If you kinda don't like the 360, it seems kind of pointless to bother getting another. I would trade in whatever 360 games you have and just use it towards a PS3 and PS3 games. Just keep in mind, though, that newer PS3 models don't support PS2 games.

I love my BC 80GB PS3! Still going strong since I bought in in 2008, and it gets used a lot.

Thanks guys for the incite. I'm going to the Gaming store that sells old consoles for cheap today to price check. Hopefully they have a 80GB since that's the BC one.
