[People Is Tasty]

One month later and a new (buggy) patch is out, unfortunately it adds more game breaking/server destroying bugs than useful things added.

Added pistons.
Fire or redstone is now required to trigger TNT.
Fences can be stacked.
Added Shears.
Shears can be used to pick up leaf blocks.
Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them.
Sheep no longer drop wool from being punched.
New textures for Cobblestone and Brick blocks.
New mob? -> silverfish.png added.
Pressing F3 ingame, near your coordinates is written the direction you are looking with 0,1, 2 and 3.
The gray textures in the breaking animation have been replaced with opacity.

New Bugs:

Pushing leaves, water, lava, levers, tall grass, flowers, mushroom, saplings, dead shrubs and sugar cane with a piston causes the game to crash. In SMP the server crashes and restarting it doesn't necessarily fix the problem.
Right clicking sheep while holding nothing causes the game to crash.
New arrow in item/arrows.png (?)
Punching damage was increased from two to four (Two full hearts).


Also another bug (Using pistons to push a rose) will brick a world and make it unloadable on multiplayer. It's not on the bug list posted in the wiki for obvious reasons of literally destroying worlds.


I love Minecraft with all my heart, but most of this is ridiculous compared to when it was just Notch working on it for a living, not just extra dosh.

I bought the game last year, august, i think, and only played 3 or 4 times. I guess that if a game don't have a story or objectives, i don't enjoy it as much.

I don't mind it not having a story, but I agree on the objectives part. There are objectives in a sense, but reaching them is fairly easy and unrewarding. Once you get full diamond armor/tools it's just "what do I do now?."

Crashes from touching sheep is stupid. Why do we even need pistons, wtf is a piston anyway?
