Sorry to jump in here and not answer you question but ask one...
When talking about PvP and PvE what are the difference's??
And when playing an MMO which one is more used?

PVP is player vs player, and pve is player vs environment or just content against the computer AI

I'd say Champions Online is more PVE oriented. The only PVP I've found were only PVP related events, or just the arena/zombie apocalypse instanced PVP zones. People can't gank, there is no "pvp" servers.

I just havent fired it up yet but knowing some of this will motivate me more.

Seth,
I actually fired this up just so I could answer a couple of those questions (and let's face it, sometimes I just need something new)
From what I can tell it's got a regular levelling system and the loot are just power ups. Things that make your super powers, more super. So the addition of stats, though none of the drops alter your appearance.
If you ever played City Of Heroes, it's very similar. I'm not very far into it yet, level 6 or so, but it's feels alot like the old CoH.
It's a mission based system, and some of the missions are short - find X or longer - "Kill so and so, in this instanced building and come back and tell me how super you are" , get xp, profit, repeat.
That's my quick synopsis.

Is it playable with a controller or classic kb/m? I dont know why but a game like superhero type mmos i just feel are better suited with controllers since thats how i played DC:UO. But kb/m is fine too, just curious!

I downloaded it yesterday. Let's see if it runs on my laptop. Star Trek Online did run ok, so i hope this runs at least with minimum settings.

I started playing this tonight and found it pretty damn fun...I am at the point where you first get your travel powers...The only thing is I am having trouble using a KB/M to play the game...I heard you could use an X-box controller to play the game but I don't have a wired version...Does the PS3 controller work as good/at all?
