I pretty much get them all. Just love reading about the games. I get OXM, OPM, Game Informer, GamePro, and Electronic Gaming Monthly. Was thinking of getting the @gamer one but haven't yet. Use to have Nintendo Power but don't really play much Nintendo these days. I am not going to renew the GamePro as it is the only one that I still get that I don't really like.

I get Game Informer and I just subscribed to Nintendo Power. They gave me like 20% off or something (I don't actually remember what it was now) if I subscribed with a certain promotional card they provided with my 3DS.

I used to read Game Informer but since EGM came back I've returned to my original love. The in depth interviews they do with industry vets every month are simply fantastic and are worth the cover price alone.

I should look into subscribing to more gaming mags...
I do alot of website reading about up and coming games but I love seeing a new gaming magazine in the mail. There is just something about seeing that arrive that gets me excited to see what the next games coming are, the big story on what is next, the devs feelings on their next masterpiece. The pride of the next release by the big game companies.

I agree that the interviews are great; sadly, that's the only good thing about the magazine now. It has no other redeeming qualities: the reviews are short, the copyediting is terrible -- I've come across tons of spelling errors in my readings -- and all the news/previews are no more in-depth than those you can find online for free. EGM had more value to me when the old staff was there. Now, it feels like a chore to read each month. Needless to say, I'll be letting my subscription run out. It pains me to say all this because I love EGM, and I was so excited about the re-launch, but it just ain't what it used to be.

I get OXM to take into work, my buddy brings in Game Informer. I think we got two years worth of mags laying around the break room right now. They're nice to have on those slow days.

I get game informer and have for quite sometime.
Historical note: I think I might have almost all of the old GMR mags from EBs (03-05).

Guys, trying going back to some of your older magazines sometimes, if you still have them.
There is something so neat about seeing the way technology and the industry has changed.

I get GI just because it comes with the card and Playstation: The Official Mag for no good reason (it's pretty weak and the reviews are often bonkers).

You're right, the amount of spelling errors is atrocious. This is a big surprise. There was some pretty darn good people going over there to reboot EGM. It depends on the size of their staff and how many they have devoted to copy editing really. When you factor in they have EGMi the weekly online magazine, if they are running a tight ship the quality of the editing would drop significantly.

Historical note: I think I might have almost all of the old GMR mags from EBs (03-05). GMR is the best game magazine ever made, IMO. I was really bummed out when they decided to stop making it. I still have all the issues I got because it was just so awesome. I am still a picture whore, give me a magazine with pictars and im happy You should look into Play magazine. I don't know if they actually make it now but it was always the best one for pictures.

I pick up Nintendo Power and browse through it when I'm at Walmart to catch up on that news, but I'm also a card holder at Gamestop, so I get GameInformer, which pretty much fills any gap left from me visiting my 5 varied gaming news sites and my two frequented gaming message boards.
