This is something i NEED to do again, i used to have a dedicated old school area and since moving i havent done this yet. But i think theres nothing cooler than an old 4:3 tube tv setup somewhere with all the great old school consoles, i think that is just gaming heaven

Well, we're keeping a CRT TV just for light gun stuff. But the bulk of your old schoool stuff is RGB modded or RGB ready, so this is what we're gonna do to put em on the HDTV. It's been ordered and is on the way: junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php/XRGB-3We got a good deal on one for about $400 shipped, but the old stuff will look kick ass. Better than on CRT with AV.

Boy I wish, but with a little one my recroom has been taken over completely by toys. I have a nice 32" CRT that my brother-in-law gave to me though so I can hook what system I want up to that. One of these days I would love to just have a dedicated retro gaming television.

This needs to get down. Especially considering that I have Madden 92, NHLPA 93 (my sabes have LaFontaine, Mogilny and Howerchuk), Sonic 1 and 2 and Golden Axe.

I have the tv for this...just need the space!
Hey who here remembers screwing in their NES to the back of their tv with that little prong deal? Yeah, that is retro gaming at its best! For me anyways. I should really plug in the NES to an old tv and teach my kids what gaming is really about. Not graphics but one hit kill death game overs no save no continues gaming. Haha!

We are doing a job for some guy who is selling his old house, remodeling his bathroom and kitchen and he asked me about getting some tvs moved. Man they were like 24 in CRTs....nice little tvs and i thought he was throwing them away, i thought i was going to hit the jackpot on getting a little CRT to hook up my old machines but no, he was still using them blah! I just need to find something on craigslist. But im like you Mud, i aint got the room since i have other stuff occupying almost every corner in terms of tvs, so ill have to find a place to hook it up once i do find a set!

I had a SEGA Mastersystem, SEGA Genesis and an N64 with over a dozen games per but I gave it all to my younger brother when I moved to Phoenix (I've since moved back). I've downloaded most of my favs from the Virtual Console though so I guess it isn't really necessary to have a side setup now

I used to in my old townhouse. We had so much space there. But then we moved and bought a house, which was actually a downgrade in size. I have an office here, but it's pretty small. I don't think there's enough room for me to comfortably hook up my old systems. Too bad.

Although I can set things up in my den our house is still a little small to do all the things I like.

I keep an 4:3 Panasonic 27" in my basement for retro gaming. If you have the space and want an authentic experience, it is certainly the way to go.
