Do any of you take any supplements for working out? If so, what are they? Also do they work for you?
I take Optimum Nutrition's Hydro Whey. It is my favorite protein supplement ever. It mixes well, tastes good, and is low in calories.
Other than that, I have been taking Jack3d as a pre-workout. It has awesome reviews, but it doesn't seem to do anything for me.

As someone who went from a college athlete to a 400lb mass back to the brink of a professional athlete again from 18-28, I'll tell you a little of what I take through the day, but also remember as a guy who weighs between 250-300, at around 13-16% bodyfat, I eat prolly a lot more than most people.
My current stats are 6'3, 282 (heavy period, be 240-260 by the end of July)... Also don't believe protein powder to be a supplement, but mark it under the meal column of things, still I'll list them for everyone to see... I also consume 3-4 solid meals a day, with 3-4 liquid meals
Wake-Up(4:30-5AM): 1 Scoop Whey Isolate Protein combined with High Caffeinated Black Tea this if I'm in a hurry if not, I'll have an equal serving of egg whites Morning Cardio (5AM-5:45ISH) Breakfast (6-6:30): 3 tablets Opti-men Vitamins, 1g Fish Oil/Flax Seed Complex Combo, 1g CLA, 500mg Green Tea Extract, 750mg Glucosamine/Chondroitin Tablet, and a superdose of Vitamin C & D Pre Workout (7:30-8am) 3 capsules Arginine Ethyl Ester + Dynamize NO Pre-Workout Post Workout (between 9-11am): 2 scoops Syntha 6 with Waxy Maize (Supplement), 5g Creatine, 2g Glutamine Lunch (12-1): 1g Fish Oil/Flax Seed Combo, 1G CLA, 500mg Green Tea Extract Post Workout (2:30-4) 2 scoops Syntha 6 with Apple (or high fiber fruit) and Dinner (5:00pm): 1g Fish Oil/Flax Seed Combo, 1G CLA, 500mg Green Tea Extract 30 minutes before Bed: 1 scoop Casein Protein, 1 scoop Whey Isolate, 1 scoop Plasma Protein or egg whites if I want a solid meal
That's the basics for me, I could do a lot more but this has worked for me...
