Fable 3
Remember when Fable was just this launch title for the first Xbox? Now it’s a full blow series! With a Kinect Title coming, this game is rapidly becoming one of the best running series out there. Every game has been a hit, and every game you get to have the choice of being good or evil, Is Fable 3 just as “good” as the other 2, or is it just so bad it’s “evil”. That last sentence sucked I know but one thing’s for sure that doesn’t suck and that’s…
Story 10/10
The Story is downright great. You start as the son or daughter of the last hero from Fable 2, after your father or mother dies, your brother becomes king, and also a tyrant. After a devastating choice he gives you to kill your lover or kill peasants, you decide to revolt with your butler Jasper and Your Teacher Walter. You then find the Hero’s guild Seal and meet Theresa where she tells you your destiny, which to take down your brother and become The Ruler of Albion. As your journey goes you get followers to your causes for the final battle against your brother at the palace. Yet (SPOILER! STOP READING)your brother did it to stop a even greater danger, the Darkness that will attack Albion one year after you become the ruler. The Story is just great and has even better moments, the only problem with the story is one choice and the whole world may be dead and empty (which is what happened with me) and you have no idea how to get your people back.
Visuals 7/10
The graphics aren’t that good to be honest. Really, the game could pass as a Wii game. Yet what the graphics aren’t best in, everything else is. The giant open world isn’t linear and each tree doesn’t look the same. The water moves with your touches and the electricity and fireballs you throw don’t all look the same a second time. This really makes the game feel as if they are trying to make sure you don’t have the same experience two times, which is what I exactly felt. The people even don’t look the same, they all each have their own distinctive looks to tell them apart. Your character changes with the smallest of things that makes you feel as if you’re a real human being, such as being cut too much in battle you may have scars, or if you get hit with fire a lot you have burn marks, etc.
Sound 7/10
The music is really all that forgettable, but what makes this game’s sound great, is the ambience. Stepping in water, you can hear the plat plat plat. Stabbing an enemy in the throat, you can hear it crush and spluue blood. The Characters feel like real people as because they have emotions and if you do something wrong they act differently depending on the emote you do. You can hear the Birds flying and the Construction of buildings; you can even hear people talking with one another, so it’s Safe to say that the Ambience is better than the music.
Gameplay 10/10
The game plays like a Beat Um’ Up. You have a Gun and a Sword/Hammer. You also have spells that you can now combine in this game to battle with as well. As you battle you get seals which you can then go into the Road to Rule, or the Upgrade Map, and open chest to unlock stronger powers, emote packs, and Better Jobs. Other than that, The Pause Screen is gone, its now a whole new world where you can fast warp change your armor in real-time, and even weapons. Really is a great idea, especially how they introduce it in the story. Other than combat and changing clothes, you can do even better things. Like have get married, have kids, Get STDs, and even have gay group sex! You can become a entrepreneur and buy every business out there. It’s just too much you can do in this game.
Overall 8.5/10
This game is too fun. And it never gets boring, I replayed it so many times just because of the sheer craziness you can cause just by choosing to do one thing different. Can’t wait for the last journey, and I sure can’t wait for Fable 4.
