So many questions unanswered. Why is she Russian but she looks Korean? Why was the funeral already being held so quickly, doesn't it take like 2 weeks before you actually do a funeral because of preparation and stuff. Dead People turn pale, Shouldn't they have realized that...
Would have been worse if she was cremated.

From what I understand, in Russia they don't do any kind of embalming type process. Once you're declared dead, you're in a coffin just as quick as the family can afford it.
As for the Korean thing: She does look it, and I have no idea why. Technically Russians are Asian, so I guess blood roots?

My wife's uncle passed recently and they had the viewing/funeral all in the same day because they didn't embalm him due to the fact that he was being cremated. It is a good thing she wasn't being cremated because that would be awful but then again, what do they train the Russian doctors to check for to make sure a person has actually died? This is a bizarre story and I can only think there has to be some underlying set of circumstances. Either that or the doctor was some guy/gal out of med school who was in a "Teaching Hospital" and made a bad call.
Either way, I am sure I won't be following this story any further but I have a sneaking suspicion this type of thing happens more often than we realize, which is truly very scary. I hope when it is my time to go, I really go. No messing around, waking up at my own funeral nonsense.

what do they train the Russian doctors to check for to make sure a person has actually died? They stab you in the leg and wait for you to scream. At least thats what my Russian friend says. I guess its just my family that takes forever to bury someone.
