For me it was, of course the greats like 4 Horsemen are always just great...but when i think about the setup of the nWo, the music, the attitude, the anything can happen nature...man what an amazing moment in wrestling history. Although part of me disliked how much the product of the 80s and early 90s changed, i still gotta love nWo. Hence its where i got the Outsiders part for the site

The worse part was that remember the NWO was setup as a way to change the name of WCW, but Turner Broadcasting shut that down because they didn't understand how the name change would have been beneficial to them in terms of press coverage. Also the fact Turner Broadcasting didn't utilize their vast media network to help build the brand even larger than what it was via taking advantage of CNN, Sports Illustrated TV, and other things...Ted loved his wrassling but his employees thought he was a goof for it.

The nWo was awesome. I would say that was the golden age of wrestling. You had the nWo and the nWo wolfpack. Then you had DX start and the Stone Cold-Rock-HHH-Mankind all exploding. I loved wreslting then.
When WCW died and the WWE had the draft for Smackdown and Raw I lost interest.

For me the golden age was late 80s early 90s, but ill say that the nWo era was pretty damn good and amazing. Its ashame because like ive read in many places, wrestling just blew its load so fast in those years that they really worked themselves into a corner here creativity wise.
Losing WCW hurt bad though, if WCW could still be around today i think wrestling would be 10x different and still alot of fun. It has its moments but overall, i just dont know what kind of audience they are trying to please.
Like dudes like Kofi Kingston comes out...what is his purpose, i dont think ive seen that dude do one worth while thing storywise, promo, nothing. Just way to many pointless guys out there these days.

The 80s and 90s were awesome too; no doubt. I just really loved the nWo.
After WCW went away instead of making wrestling really awesome; WWE just didn't know what to do. Splitting up to Raw and Smackdown made no sense. I remember at the time they split the Dudleys and Hardys. It was like if it made no sense and would piss people off then they did it.
Of course, it didn't help that the Rock, Stone Cold, and Mankind all quit.
Mankind is so underratted IMO. His match with the Undertaker is probably the best one ever.

Yea, after nWo it really went down hill. I watch these days but its hard to watch at times. The whole PG era thing didnt help either, its so lame watching the same guys win anymore almost and just nothing happens...its a bummer.

The nWo and Attitude eras were indeed the time when I was most interested in the wrestling product as a whole.
I was quite shocked by the creation of the nWo. I had been watching WCW for a long time before that happened, and watched it religiously during its prime. Hogan turning heel was awesome, and even though I was pretty much a clueless child fan who bought into the face/heel gimmick completely, I did not hate the nWo. I thought they were bad asses.
Monday Night Nitro was just an awesome show. 3 hours of awesomeness. What I found to be so great about it was the mid card was just as interesting as the top card segments. I loved the Cruiserweight division, and I really think the WWE could benefit if they attempted to bring it back full force.
Then I didn't start watching Raw is War until Austin won his first World title. It was really difficult trying to split my interest because there was no dual DVR back then. But eventually, as The Rock moved on from the Nation of Domination to the Corporation, I started watching Raw more often. And then WCW died.
There was still a great period of wrestling after that happened, but eventually the big names starting falling off and new names didn't appear to fill the holes. I still watched Raw every week, simply because of habit, and hopeful it will pick up someday. Never got into Smackdown because for a long time I never got the channel it aired on, and now the product just isn't interesting to spend so much time on.
But I'll probably keep on watching, because of habit and how I grew up with it.
There is one nugget of good: Does anyone watch Tough Enough? I actually find it more entertaining than Raw or Smackdown. Stone Cold really does a good job hosting the show, and the fact it's about a real competition means I can more easily buy into the characters.

The nWo and Attitude eras were indeed the time when I was most interested in the wrestling product as a whole. Same. In fact, I stopped watching wrestling in the early 2000s. I only recently started to watch again, and I haven't been too pleased with what I see. I don't know enough to point fingers at who is to blame, but man, it just seems like there is no one on the WWE roster that I care about anymore.
