pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_49362.shtmlWWE has hired Tom Casiello, a soap-opera writer, as a new writer on the creative team.
Casiello currently writes for "The Young and the Restless." He's also written for other top soap operas during his ten-year professional writing career.Interesting, very interesting!

I think we officially lost all arguments about wrestling being soap operas for men.

I hope he gets involved with the running of smackdown and stops this teddy long formula that ges wheeled out week after week. That's ruining the whole show for me.
And if he can write something that doesn't involve orton takng out half of the roster on a weekly basis that would be nice, and also write a storyline that involves orton selling an injury when his opponent has spent all match working on it

I think we officially lost all arguments about wrestling being soap operas for men. I had to laugh at this. I call watching WWE "my stories" instead of soap operas. I don't watch those things .

So far all i know is the new writer aint writin none to much of anything new Lets see: "Lets push Alex Riley! scribble scribble scribble.....Alex riley should come out, then we QUEUE Cenas music and Riley will roll out of the ring"...excellent! "Orton will RKO everyone and anything 18 times through the course of the night" That about sums up alot of the shows I actually have RAW DVR'd tonight, i need to watch it still.

Oh i know! but when he was on RAW he did the same and moved on over to SD doing the very same, he is worse than Hogan at times in terms of never putting anyone else over but the thing was, i loved hogan so it was ok that he never took the fall hardly ;D Riley is the one though, that dude got the potential to really take it to the top! I wish Sheamus didnt get pushed to SD either. Same with Wade Barrett, he was on fire and then boom off raw onto SD and comes across as a jobber almost!

The one thing I am really upset with right now is them allowing Chavo to leave.
They used him waaaaaaay too much as a jobber. Why not push him? Not only because of his family legacy, but the guy is actually a really damn good wrestler.
I do hate to see them push the same guys over and over -- Cena, Orton, (even HHH for awhile, even though he's my favorite). There are a lot of new guys with talent -- I wish they'd give everyone equal time. Bring back tag belts on each show. Bring back female WRESTLERS -- NOT divas (most, imo are just bikini model trash) Beth Phoenix, Melina, Kong, Gail Kim are pretty good athletes. But I can tell you, those Bellas maybe weight 100-110 each. WTF? lol I remember the days of good, female matches. Not stupid underwear or pillow fight matches. Ridiculous!
But again, there are so many guys with potential, and they refuse to let them shine. Not sure why, except that Cena & Orton are ratings and $$$. Chances are, so are most of these other guys if given a chance.

What i dont like is how Trips, Michaels, Taker etc...just rolled over in bed oneday and now are "novelty" acts. When i look and see how Foley, Flair, Hogan...never left the business and retired even yet really, i always thought that guys like Rock, Trips, Michaels etc...would be at least within the products into their early 50s even to just be in storylines and its like they are done already, it really bugs me how this "youth movement" has sort of just pushed the legends out alot faster than i imaged.
Trips i know hasnt said hes done but i feel he will come back for a match at Mania, probably against Taker as a rematch and will either be a career ending match or just some novelty match and i hate that.
These YOUNG guys need pushed via the older guys. Trips needs to be out there helping push guys, otherwise you get 2 young wrestlers that just dont have the charisma to stand alone. While when Michaels or Trips is around, sure maybe not making them champ...but they just edged them out way to fast, i just wasnt ready for how fast these guys got edged out.
It seems if you hit your early 40s that is not, whereas before these guys could roll to 50 at least.

Flair did retired from WWE, but I understand what you mean.
But if you watch them on TNA, they don't really wrestle even there.
I don't really thinks its a youth movement, but it could have something to do with leaving early. If you think about it, the stunts have gotten more dangerous the more WWE/TNA evolved. ECW is a good example. This is hardcore stuff. They are wearing their bodies down more than they did "back in the day." Like, look at Edge -- good example. His DR told him if he keeps doing this, he will end up in a wheelchair and soon. What choice did he really have? I would have left, too.
I think you are right about HHH & WM28 with Taker. I honestly believe they will BOTH "retire" after WM28. I do know that Trips has A LOT to do with behind the scenes stuff -- He is Sr Advisor to VKM, and is the Director of Talent Discovery or something like that. He is a good, old school guy -- I think he has great potential helping push these guys -- IF VKM gives him the go-ahead to do so. I remember when HHH was "Terra Ryzing" in WCW. Haha!
But yeah, I do agree something needs to happen differently than is going on now. Nostalgia sets in for us who watched it in the 80's. I do miss a lot of old school stuff.

Yea i just mean like Flair and these guys, are still involved in storylines and its just nice to see them out there...even for just their personalities!
I was reading and this would of been interesting but Sting was so close to joining WWE but opted out. When they did the vignettes before Mania, the western one when they were out in the rain...that was supposed to truely be Stinger but they didnt know if he was signing, so they just went with Triple H when they had to finally go with their date.
I would of loved it, as a fan of Sting and just seeing something unique happen i would of loved it.
