This game kind of came out as a stealth release. It's a follow-up to 2008's Trackmania DS, and a great little racing game for the "old" DS. It focuses more on time trial stuff. You can race against other CPU opponents, but they are more like just Ghosts - the point is to get to the finish line in the least amount of time possible.
It's also got a platform mode, in which the task is to stay on the race course and get to the finish without having to restart. There are all kinds of traps and obstacles in your way though, so it ain't easy.
There's also a Create mode, in which the player can design his or her own race track. It can be shared with friends, and raced on just like any other track in the game.
All of these modes are available to play online as well, which is a cool bonus.
It's pretty fun, and great for a pick-up-and-play kind of game. I couldn't find it in stores, but I saw some good deals on it at Amazon. If you're looking for another great racing game on DS, check this one out.
