If you've already played it before, play the PSP version as the girl to see the changes. ^_^

Persona 3 is one of the best RPG's out there only surpassed by Persona 4.
Persona 3 Portable pretty much took everything about Persona 3 and improved it. The only downside that makes it not the absolute version you HAVE to get is that its missing the cut-scenes and you don't see the characters interacting it's all done using cut outs.
Beyond that, it's a blast and I put 90 hours into my first run even though I played the game before on PS2.

Have P3, P3Fes on ps2 but can't remember them. I must have been remembering P4 when I fired this one up because I was WTF where in my uncle and niece? Only played an hour and a half but I love it like I have all the perso a games and since I can't recall it at all, it feels brand new

I have P3FES. I've already played about half of it, but I just lost interest. It's just not really my thing.

I had FES on PS2 and couldn't get into it. I bought it for PSP in a PSN sale and got into it. I think it just fits the PSP so much better then a console.

Didn't they also redo the combat so you could control your party members on the PSP version or something? I thought I read that somewhere.

Whats the gameplay like?? I am in the looks for a new PSP game. Turn based combat. Pretty standard stuff, but they add in a bunch of little things to make it more unique. For example, if you use a spell/attack an enemy is weak against, you get an extra turn. If you get all enemies downed with attacks they're weak against your whole party can do a combined attack. Your main character also gets to hold various demons that you can fuse and discard at will to get new ones which will power you up, so your main character will be a jack of all trades. Need healing? Switch your Persona, Need Ice magic? Switch again. It's a pretty simple system. But it's refined so that battles are fast paced and fun.
