Well, I like all my electronics to be black. I got the black DS lite and 3DS. My husband has the blue DSi and plans on getting the blue 3DS. Which I think is still pretty sexy.  |

Im generally into a black device as well, or a white....but that aqua actually looks pretty good overall. I still think ill opt for the black model.

The aqua! For sure.
I've seen the black 3DS and I think the aqua one is a lot cooler looking. It's also a little more green than it seems on the box, for what it's worth.
It reminds me of a tropical ocean, kind of.

Is the black a matte finish or is it glossy? I hate finger prints on my handhelds, if its glossy that may sway me to the aqua.

Both designs are the glossy finish.
I'm keeping mine in a nice case to protect it!

The entire system is glossy. It should be noted, however, that both paint jobs are also three-toned. I believe the black one is actually dark gray on the bottom. See, here's some pics of mine showing the three different shades. Ah i didnt think the aqua was glossy, i just assumed actually since when i played it first it was hooked to a theft preventer thing.

If the top-inside of the aqua weren't black, I would say aqua. As it is, I say go black. It's not a solid black, it looks like a two-toned paint job on a car kind of finish. It is glossy and shows fingerprints. I would guess the fingerprints on the black would be significantly more noticable than on the aqua.

I picked up the Graphite (Black) one. Still, I would have preferred a true black, but I know Nintendo has this thing about not re-using colors across handheld launches.
Even better, I hold out hope they will make a 3DS XL. I really loved my DS XL, and going back to a smaller, albeit higher res, screen is somewhat a pain.

Yea thats the thing Lax, im sort of wanting a 3DSXL as well. I love my XL and this thing is goin no where, but i got a feeling the XL will be announced eventually here.

I really wanna play the new zelda. It's only a matter of time before I jump on it. $250 is a lot for a handheld in my opinion though, which is why I've held out so far.

I went with black - it's just the color that was available at Gamestop. I suppose I could have gone with either color, but I'll admit I like the cool, clean look of the black glossy.

I have the aqua, and while I was originally considering the cosmo black, the aqua is ridiculously good looking because it goes from lighter aqua at the top to a fine looking dark aqua at the bottom, it's a marvel to look at. I keep it right next to me on it's cradle and sometimes I just like to look over at it. Aqua definitely.

Well it technically is I went with an aqua one myself and ive never felt kiddy...for the most part. I played it on a trip with some 'grown ups' from my church the other day and they all slobbered over it and 2 of them bought one the next week lol...the aqua ones  |
