Pretty close if you ask me, at one point I may of without a thought said DS but i gotta say the PSP i have found lately especially to really be the RPG machine. Its ashame alot of the rpgs on it dont get much love, but i think the PSP kicks some series ass in the world of rpgs. Id be willing to say though its very close, id have to sort of lay it out which system has the better RPG selection. Now keep in mind im not talking graphics, not talking FULL library, just rpg choices betwee the two. Ill give a definitive answer once i gave a good look at my collection, curious about your thoughts though.

I go with the DS hands down. The only psp rpg I have that has ever gotten any love would be Crisis Core. I have a couple dozen RPGs for the DS though b

The PSP has a great rpg library, but personally I have played and enjoyed DS rpgs a lot more.

I'd say it may be 50/50 for me... I've really enjoyed both systems rpgwise.

I'd have to go with DS, personally. Just more on it I love, like the FF remakes, Crystal Chronicles, Dragon Quest games, Suikoden, Shin Megami Tensei, etc.
PSP is pretty awesome, too, though.

Subjectively speaking, DS wins hands down since it has a remake of Chrono Trigger. Which is not only the best RPG ever made, but the best GAME ever made!
Of course, that point becomes somewhat moot once the PSOne Classic of Chrono Trigger hits the PSN.
Still, the DS then has all those DragonQuest games, Final Fantasy games, Shin Megami Tensei games, and Nintendo's own games like Mario & Luigi, Pokémon and the SRPG Fire Emblem.
Both systems are the kings of RPGs though. The consoles lost that crown this gen.

Hey, I'm ok with Nintendo having it exclusively for a while!
Seriously, it's overtaken FF for being my favorite JRPG series. FF just seems to change itself too much constantly, where I know I can always count on DQ for a solid, classic JRPG adventure every time.

PSP for story and hardcore graphics and action. but DS for the Remembrance and the just silky smooth game play; it brings it back to basics.

DS has a longer list by far, to be honest. And just about all of their games are slammin'.
However, the problem is that the DS has the variety and the quality to back it up, while PSP just has the quality.
I got both of them, simply because both consoles had such good RPGs that you just have to get both.
