Bottle, youre in for a great game! I am about 3/4 the way through Dark Dawn and it is awesome man, just awesome. I think it holds up to the first game very well to be honest. It feels like Golden Sun through and through.
And it looks pretty amazing on the DS, very colorful, lush etc...youll have to let us know once you get it!

I really enjoyed Dark Dawn. It felt like a Golden Sun game through and through. If you enjoyed the GBA games you should also enjoy this one.

I didn't play the previous 2 and thought the game was pretty enjoyable and didn't require much previous knowledge of the previous games. It's a good solid JRPG. Not the best, mind you. But if you've played a lot of JRPGs and are looking for something good to sink some time into, you could do a LOT worse than Golden Sun. |

I'm about four hours in and I can say I don't like any of the characters at all. Garret: "Oh noes my boy is all alone in the cave and you're going to let these kids lead us?!?" Issac:  Brutal.. The game itself is solid though. |

Yea Bottle the characters arent the high spot for sure, but like you said just a solid game. The gameplay, the turnbase classic golden dawn battle system, the graphics...pretty sweet!

Yea Golden Sun is still in my DS, been loving it...its just a good ol classic rpg. I love the simplicity of the look and feel of golden sun games. Im surprised though it doesnt get a little more praise overall.

I still need to play through this game. I played the first one and then failed to even find the second one - even though it focused on my favorite character. I think I might have missed out, but either way they are epic games and some of my favorites, for that genre anyways.
