For my sabres if the Regeher 9Calgary) deal goes through then there's our veteran defenseman. I'd therefore be looking at a goal scorer with some good size (over 6 foot) which is kind of important for the Sabres. What are your thoughts for your team? Seth & Binger, please note that a health Crosby and Malkin do not count as draft picks.  |

Aw damn and i was about to just say all i want is Cros and Malkin healthy! Im looking forward to the draft tonight though, cant quite say yet who im lookin for the pens to snag but ill get back to this thread in a bit once i give it some more thought! |

Seth, where you guys pick (and us as well) there is a good crop of American players. There isn't really anyone in the top 10, but from there to the early 2nd there is quality.  |

I want the Canes to grab a solid defender or two. I think the forwards are young and talented and just need to gel a little. At times we could beat anyone but lose to anyone at the same time. I think that some defense would even that out some.

I think that some defense would even that out some. Obi, what a heckell and jeckl (sp, sorry) team you guys had. It was weird seeing them absolutely dominate some games and then get lost in others. There soooo close. I don't imagine you guys missing the playoffs this year. Side note: one of your former Stanley Cup Champions, Kevyn Adams, is from my hometown. |

I'd heard Dallas is looking to shop the 14th pick to move down and possibly get a third round pick. I really wish they wouldn't I like some of the prospects that should be available around that time.

Also, Mr D, what the heck is going ow with Richards? Is he staying or going? I know he stated that he wouldn't waive his no tade clause but there are still a ton of rumor about him. |

I don't think he knows where he wants to play, so why waive the no-trade clause and be stuck negotiating with one team before July 1st? Sure it would be nice for Dallas to get something in return for his rights, but he has to look out for himself.
There's no chance he stays though, he isn't happy with the ownership situation in Dallas and wants to move on to a more stable environment.

That is cool about Adams. That was a fun year. Pretty wild; especially with Cole coming back from a major injury in Game 6.
I'm not sure Paul Maurice can get us to that level but we should make the playoffs. There is a lot of talent.
