Downie and Kunitz Get One Game Suspensions

Yea that hit was wicked lol.

You know, i know there are people out there just riding the hit train but damn...i think hits like that are just good plays, Lovejoy should of sort of had a feeling someone was smoking in around there, he put his head down too long i think.

But damn, Kunitz out for a game...that sucks.

Everyone wants to pin bad hits on the hitter. I think it is the job of the person receiving the hit to keep their head on a swivel.

That being said, I thought the Kunitz hit was more suspension-worthy than the Downie hit. Glad it is only one game.

I thought downie would get more because he is a repeat offender. I didn't think kunitz would get any because I do not think Heatly received any suspension for his elbow towards the end of the regular season. It was just as blatant in my opinion.

The real problem here is we are asking for consistency from the NHL...

Downie delivered an almost identical hit to Dean McAmmond a few years back and he got 20 games for it.
