4 Game Suspension Hit:
No Suspension
These hits were two weeks apart. Why was he suspended for the first hit, but not the second hit?

The league got both of these wrong. The first one, the Oiler is bending over and reaching for a puck. Torres has no choice but to hit him with the elbow. He doesn't stick the elbow out ala Mattt Cooke. Anyone remember the hit Malkin put on a King? last year that was reaching for a puck? www.youtube.com/watch?v=CROEuT_VGsMThe second hit from Torres though is the new rule of hitting a guy from the blindside directly in the head. That is a suspension. Maybe the league says it isn't a blindside since his body was facing that way but his head was turned all the way around, ala Steckle on Crosby...I could buy them both not being a suspension but not the first one being one and the second one not.

The Heatley hit was a blatant elbow. The Bertuzzi hit was elbow-ish... The two hits by Torres were the same hits that the entire hockey world would have been praising as great and exciting hits just two years ago.
