We all have artists we love... but who is your favorite artist of all time? No ties, if you had to pick just one, who would it be?
Mine... most of you could probably guess, I gotta go with Journey!
Also my favorite album of all time is Journey-Frontiers
Who is yours?

Probably The Beatles. Nightwish ranks pretty high up there as well, along with Boston, Dream Theater, Aerosmith, Elton John, and so on. i have varied tastes in music. My favorite album ever would probably be Dark Passion Play, by Nightwish.

Ouch...i hate the questions.
I'll list some of my favorite albums to sort of help me out as well.
AcDc - Razor Edge AcDc - Back in Black Metallica - Black Album Metallica - Master of Puppets Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears Ozzy Osbourne - Scream In Flames - A Sense of Purpose Megadeth - Rust in Peace Megadeth - So Far So Good So What Junkie XL - Today Powerman 5000 - Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere HIM - Dark Light
So many good albums....
I would have to choose Megadeth. I just respect Dave Mustaine for his contribution to staying true to metal for all of these years. Metallica did better with Death Magnetic, but Endgame and The System has Failed are leaps and bounds better than DM and St Anger. As for the other bands I mentions, Ozzy, Flames, HIM, Powerman 5000, and Ac/Dc are up there with bands I can listen to all day, I have a heavy heart for Metallica, but when it comes down to staying true to it's metal roots (sure it's been a rocky road for Dave), Megadeth has come back firing on all cylinders and hasn't looked back yet.

You have great taste in music adam. "The system has failed" is my fav megadeth album, it's freakin' awesome! Really like "A sense of purpose" by In Flames but I have to say that "Clayman" is my fav.
I'm gonna recommend the bands: RA, Living Sacrifice, Demon Hunter, and Red
If you haven't already heard these bands... I think you would like'em...

I wish i could choose one. I have a lot of Tom Waits and Judas Priest albums, so they can fight between themselves.

I don't think I could pick one favorite. If I tried really really hard, I might be able to pick a favorite for each genre

Ugh, this is even more difficult than picking your favorite game of all time. Ummm... if I absolutely had to pick one, then I'd go with Queen. Doesn't get much better than Freddie Mercury in my book.

The Smashing Pumpkins
Adore was incredible. Deal with it
(Yes, Zeitgiest was kinda bad. But their new stuff proves that Billy has learned from that)

Not sure who I would say, tho if I look at my collection, from pure album numbers, Jimmy buffet would be my pick.

Hands down, my favorite musician of all time is David Bowie, followed closely by Lita Ford. It's just amazing music and everything made by him sounds unique as he never really uses the same style twice. I recommend listening to his album titled Hunky Dory just to get a small taste of what he does.

It changes so often that whatever I type now will probably change in a day or week from now. David Bowie is definitely up there. The man is a genius. Zeppelin is always Legend status. But when it comes to timeless music that no sane person could possibly hate I'd have to go with Beethoven. People will be playing and listening to him 300 years from now. It's not even a question.

I agree with Frenetic that this changes ofter but there are a few that are constant.
If I had to name one I would go with Counting Crows but Ryan Adams is up there as is Spoon. Also in my younger days it was Megadeth.
