Looking to bolster the rap selection on my Ipod. I have tons of stuff pre-'95 and tons of stuff from this year, but nothing in between.
Any suggestions?

Oh man. I'm going to be in this thread for a while. It depends on your taste in rap, but I like.
90s (albums) Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt B.I.G.'s Ready to Die Nas' Illmatic
2000s
Common - Finding Forever, Be Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon Jay-Z - any of the Blueprint albums Kanye - College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation
If you like any of these, let me know. I'll recommend some more.

I'm not a big rap guy but Raekwon's last album was the best rap album I've heard in a long time. Very 90's esque.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I did have all the Blueprints already. Didn't even know I had them until I searched my library.
I picked up Reasonable Doubt and Ready to Die. Love them both!
Any song recomendations off of the other albums? I am too cheap to buy the whole albums on those.
Thanks Again

Illmatic is all good.
The People and Driving Me Wild are good tracks from Finding Forever. Go and Testify from Be are both good too.
Try Soundtrack 2 My Life off of Man on the Moon
You really cant miss on any of the tracks from Kanye's earlier albums. Through the Wire, Jesus Walks, All Falls Down**, Slow Jamz off of College Dropout. Heard Em Say, Touch the Sky, Diamonds and the Diamonds Remix off of Late Registration. Can't Tell Me Nothing and Homecoming off of Graduation.
** Definitely get this track

Thanks again. My wife pointed out to me that I could turn my Discover cash back award into Amazon mp3 gift cards, so I loaded up $50 worth. Ready to shop some more!

I have to throw out the Jay-Z/Linkin Park collaboration "Collision Course 1"
It's pretty awesome, especially if you're fans of both! ^_^
Big Pimpin/Papercut and Numb/Encore are probably my favorites, but the whole CD is awesome.

Thanks to all. Added today
Common - Be Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon Kanye - College Dropout, Late Registration Jay Z/Linkin Park - Collision Course 1 (Love this album!) Dre-Chronic Bone Thugs - E.1999 Eternal
Really like them all, most less than $6 on Amazon, so I went with the full albums.
Keep the suggestions coming, still have some credit left!

I'm only a month late but I have to add Royce 5 9' - Death is Certain. Throwback and I & Me are my two favorites but it's absolute classic from start to finish.
Blue Scholars have a great library too. It's a real shame that more people aren't on them.

All the Pharcyde Albums, Mos Def, Talib Kalie are some choices if you want that northern underground rap.

Pharcyde is good stuff. Fatlip - Whats up Fatlip should be on everyones Ipod.
Is Mos Def & Talib Kweli considered underground? I have to give Gutter Rainbows another spin, I couldn't get into the first time around.

That Atmosphere is nice. I'll be checking more of that.
Cage is sick. By far his best track.

Amazing song. Andre even plays most of the instruments throughout the song. A very impressive artist, in my opinion.

Eminem - Infinite. You just don't hear stuff like this anymore. I don't think you can dl it anywhere though.
