Hopefully they got the balls to pull off Joffrey's story to the completion, the kid who plays him really does a good job at irritating me. I wanna see that kid get his ass handed to him, will say it was a decent casting of him...But seriously two of my favorite actors are dead in the series already... I know what ya mean. I hope HBO doesn't pull a Lafayette with this one. |

I'd say anyone who hasn't readthe books needs to watch the first two or three episodes twice to get wind of what's going on. I struggled to see what was so good after episode one bit by the time 4 rolled around I was hooked. Can't believe neds been killed off so soon  I was hoping for a big pay off between him and jamie, and what about telling his bastard son about his mother? Plus gettin even with the lord who betrayed him? And then getting killed after the false confession and now no one will ever know pretty gutting stuff, not read the books or anything and I won't just yet anyhow. How lovely is emila Clark? That wasn't the final episode was it? What we saw in the uk was was khaleesi sat in the smouldering ashes with the 3 dragons, there's still another ep this season isn't there?

The guys over at HBO really did a phenomenal job adapting this to television. I can't wait for next season.

Agreed they did a great job but that was episode 9 last night wasn't it? Is it only a 9 ep season? That sucks, hope they are already in production for season 2. Also we didn't even see a big battle scene the whole series, we saw Tyrian knocked out for one battle and the next was we just saw jamie kidnapped and we were told how he killed ten men on his own etc
damn I wanna see little sansa kill jofrey too (I'm guessing here as I haven't, and won't be readin any books on it)

The characters are so awesome. There are so many I simply enjoy:
Dany - Epic Heroine - Came so far in 9 episodes
Sansa - I want to kill her and I pity her
Geoffery - I want to kill him and I want to kill him
Jon Snow - Just beems Hero right at you
Arya - Love that girl, hope she becomes a silent assasin
Tyrion- How do you not love this guy?
The Wolves - Where can I get one?

Yep Sansa is the bride to be. Usually I love the lady who plays the queen / geofery's mom like in 300 and the terminator series, but in this show she is a bit off.

I'm also a little disappointed at the lack of battle scenes; but then again, there weren't a lot in book 1 anyway. It's a big set up for the rest of the series. HBO has already ordered another season so we'll be seeing a lot more. |

This show is great. I have not read the books, but I like how the show subtely fills you in on the backstory as it goes along. And it doesn't really hit you over the head with it; they find a way to bring up things that had happened before the movie timeline started by including it in casual conversation between characters.
I also appreciate the role the actors are doing. Everybody has their own motives, and the show mixes up how those motives are relayed to the audience by just showing us the actions of the characters and not always telling us plainly. The writers and actors do a great job with perception. There are many levels of "good" and "evil", and many of the lines are blurred.

I read somewhere that they're going to begin filming next month. Season 2 is scheduled to air April 2012. So we've got about 10 months to wait.
