Was watching the Chris Farley tribute, and how i miss this era. What a wonderful cast it had at the time, it seemed almost every person there was amazing.
Id say my 2nd fav cast was the 70s with Chevy Chase, Steve Martin etc...
I think SNL has gotten better though, i couldnt really get into it throughout the 2000s, but for some reason the last few months ive been kind of enjoying it.

The cast I watched the most was Farley, Sandler, MacDonald, etc. So mid 90s I guess, although the 70s stuff is always good too.

Guys, I may be the only personally (hopefully not) on this board the snuck down past his parents bedroom and watched the first ever SNL with my sister. If memory serves me George Carlin was the host. The point being (i think) I've seen them all. You guys are right, that Farley cast was awesome. However the women have never been as good as they have the last decade with Wiig, Poehler, Fay and Mya.

Farley was a hit or miss IMO but when he hit it was damn funny.
Will Ferrel was great as well.

I loathe SNL. IMO they were always 90-95% misses, 5-10% funny. MadTV blew them away in terms of funny.

SNL has gotten better, but I haven't really watched it much in years. I gotta say that the more cowbell sketch and the amazing timesavers sketch with mike myers and heather locklear are my favorites.
