Other than giving "Don't be a Menace" a run for it's money on movie title length, What do you think?
I think it could be enjoyable for what it is, but I always thought that the transition was different. Mankind was becoming extinct and they "took our place", or perhaps a giant war and they emerged after the dust settled.
But a hostile takeover? I have qualms with that.

I'm gonna be so pissed if they recant the final 3 movies of the original series with this movie, since I loved the original series.

I think the animated apes look pretty solid but I'm not too sure I'd be willing to spend my money to see it in the theaters. This seems more like a Netflix type movie to me.

My guess is that they will release it in 3D just for the cash, perhaps with a couple of scenes made specifically for 3D, but I'm betting that it'll be one that doesn't do so hot with it. I know I'd rather watch it in the typical 2D and save an extra $3-5. |

The preview makes it look cool. I had no desire to see it but that changed my mind. I'll add it to the netflix queue.
